DAY 622

SocialTwist Tell-a-Friend

Posted on: January 3, 2010 - 11:11 pm

Prateeksha, Mumbai                        January  3, 2010                        Sun  11 : 10 PM

Lonely hours are the best hours of life
Because
Its the only time
We share our deepest
Secrets with the most
Trusted person in the world

Ourselves …

The completeness of family is the most joyous moment in any life. Today I enjoy that as I step back from the arid but comfortable winds of Dubai into Mumbai and home. Navya - Naveli and Agastya and Shweta at the airport to welcome us in, grown in height and stature and speech and maturity. Abhishek and Aishwarya at work in the studio, but just the thought of us all being together fills the sounds in the house with lively chatter and unadulterated laughter.

The youngsters are computer attached. They function as though that flat slab of machine was a part of their being. Punching, accessing, searching and connecting with the entire world with the knowledge and speed of high end professionals. The Kindle here, the PSP there. A Mac here and the Wi games there. Every corner of the house is just an activity centre of modern gadgetry. Each on his or her machine, each involved with the intensity of sitting on an end of term examination, each happy in their own internet world and each of us in the same room. Together but in our own world of the waves. Igniting all the possible variations that require attention, yet communicating in as normal a manner as possible. The iphone swishing past at the touch of a finger an entire book ordered and delivered electronically through the net, tunes downloaded by the hundreds on to this pocket sized screen in your palm. The Apple TV giving out the latest there is in shows, serials, movies at the punch of a small remote …

Where the hell are we … and what has this world become …

Every bit of information ever created in any part of the world now in super computers and kept in storage never to be deleted or erased. What we write, convey on mobile or net. What we speak and converse in the open air and within our homes, all now by law and by security recorded and kept in storage for ever. Any thing that is in the waves is now never lost or forgotten. Great for posterity, perhaps not so great for secrecy and confidentiality. We may delete a message, we may erase a conversation or detail and it may seem to us that it is gone … but no my dearies .. nothing is lost or removed. It is there in perpetuity. There with the authorities. There in the system. And can be used at any given moment and time, irrespective or who or what position you may be holding.

Enlightening, but frightening too … we shall never be alone .. our words and feelings expressed in voice or its substitute shall be with us in perpetuity ..

I have been attempting to respond back to responses as may have been noticed. The speed of submit if slow, robs the effort of wanting to cover a bigger ground. It is frustrating when that happens for there is a desire to respond and reach out to every one that comes on. But …

And then it just lingers and gets overlooked and many in the EF complain and show despair when they have been close enough to the yellow line and missed it by inches virtually. It is not deliberate you must know, but one of sheer coincidence and circumstance. I try to cover as much but fail. I do the beginning, then the middle and then the end to exhibit a sense of fairness in it all. Take that not as deliberate leaving out for certain individuals. No that would be most wrong and hurtful to think thus. For me all are equal and loved. I cannot divide affection. It shall always remain the same for all.

We meet up now for some work that is being done on animation. A film will be made, the story of which has been finalized and the character that portrays me shall be given my voice. Another avenue, another expansion to the varied tributaries that now stretch and find their place in this competitive world of entertainment. Priyan or Priyadarshan shall be doing the creatives and it will be executed by a company from the South. Times they are a changing. There are more inventive ideas that float along and soon you should be hearing about them. They are all innovative, all exceedingly exciting and more than fruitful for the audience.

So we wait for it to be launched .. and till then .. we wait ..

Be and remain with my love …

Amitabh Bachchan

    Dear Amitabh,

I’m a huge admirer of yours and a huge music fanatic. I am currently 19 years old and a huge fan of Hindi music. I have been waiting since I was 6 years old to hear the songs from Gayak (1996) that Big B cassetes had the rights to.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMaYpHrgZ9o a youtube petition

Please Big B, it is my dream to hear these songs in full and I have been praying/hoping for over 13 years for these songs and with no such luck or info!

Please Please listen to my plea and somehow get these songs to my heart just like your movies have filled a huge void in my life with gems like KKKG and Black. Itunes, youtube, online radio, tapes whichever format but please I can’t stand the wait. =[

Your recent action films, were excellent, khaki, and family, I would very much want to see you featured more action movies, I know that you’re health and age make it difficult for filming action movies, but make the effort you can to the future was embodied in powerful roles more action movies, there are roles Just only you could play them, every language of the request, I ask you to consider play to be another action film in your career with your son.
All your fans in Israel, like any movie you’re doing, like you and your son and wife and of course your wife, I think four of you must play one great movie the whole world will remember forever, Jaya is a great actress of all time, I would very much like to see her playing your side again after K3G.

    Amitji,

Great to have come on the blog, where you have just posted, rather then seeing over a 100 members already responded..

The gadgetry is part of the world we live in, mobile phones with net connection, the Wii, the most physically involved games console..its always a health and fitness training too, try to check out those games on it too, you might be able to do your Yoga work outs in front of this console..

Im looking for to the animation movie with priyan..sure it would be fun for kids and adults alike.

    All the best always

  13. Mehveen Riaz says:

    Hi there,

I was talking to some friends who saw Paa and they are convinced that you are going to sweep all the award ceremonies because of your amazing performance. Hope you win the awards you deserve!!

Also, I have seen the promos of Rann and the movie looks very intense! All of the actors seemed to have given amazing performances, especially Ritesh. He seems to be playing a totally different character then ones he played before. I cant wait for the movie!

And of course I want to share the group that I started called “HELP MEHVEEN MEET AMITABH”, which about 240 people have joined urging you to meet me!! I figured that I have loved you for 5 years out of my 20 years of existence and I need to take measures to meet you and I hope this will do the trick! I am going to post this group (hopefuly as it grows larger and larger) everyday on your blog until you somehow contact me, either via email, webcam, phone, so we can arrange to meet!

So here is the link, I hope you’ll take 2 minutes out of your busy day to look at it!

    http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=174943739550&ref=ts

I wholeheartedly wish with every fiber of my being that I could meet you. I keep watching interviews with you on bollywood hungama, cnn-ibn, etc. and I can barely stop myself from buying a ticket to Mumbai and camping outside of your house.

I really want to know how you stand being so damn gorgeous. I mean do you know how gorgeous you are? I hope one day that I can see you in person because I know someone who saw you in real life and she said you look better in person and that just flabbergasts me. I mean if you are so gorgeous on screen, then people who see you in person are probably blinded by your gorgeousness! I was watching some of your performances and I literally was dumbfounded by your amazing gorgeousness!

Ok well I hope you click on the link and make my dream come true!!

    Hope I get a response!

Love you lots and lots and lots,
    Mehveen

ps. I love you and like I said you are simply gorgeous!

    Dear uncle,

Hope you are in the best of your spirits.I got your response yesterday.

I have one request that please read my letter about you in Khaleej times that was published on Dec 9.But due to some technical problems with the site I cant give you the link now.But please assure me you would read it when I get the link. Its will only take two minutes of your busy schedule.I am trying from the same date to get your attention to it but could not.And today when I got the yellow line, there was no link in my comment.

Anyways its good that you returned back home.It always feels great to be in ones own country……………But now you would be busy again and therefore fewer replies will come by the way…….

But no worries……….you are there with us daily irrespective of whether you reply or not.

I feel there in a binding force between us that attracts us towards each other.I say this because just now while watching TV,I thought of you and felt that you may have posted something early today. And the feeling was true…..

I read somewhere you are promoting AMAN KI ASHA: initiative from The times of india and JUNG (from Pakistan). I am not sure if it is true but coming to any conclusion please go through the link provided below: http://www.dawn.com/wps/wcm/connect/dawn-content-library/dawn/news/world/04-south-asia-tense-qs-05

Its a article posted on JUNG’s website dated:3rd January while the AMAN Ki ASHA project is going on in India. Again it is showing hatred against India. I can not understand why your involvement into this project. Even some vested interest is using your name that u are promoting this projects.

    Dearest Mr Bachchan,
I would love to share this beautiful song and one of my Favourites with you. Please click the link below…
I dreamed a dream in time gone by
When hope was high and life worth living
I dreamed that love would never die
I dreamed that God would be forgiving

Then I was young and unafraid
And dreams were made and used and wasted
There was no ransom to be paid
No song unsung, no wine untasted

But the tigers come at night
With their voices soft as thunder
As they turn your hope apart
As they turn your dreams to shame

And still I dream he’d come to me
That we would live the years together
But there are dreams that cannot be
And there are storms we cannot weather

I had a dream my life would be
So different from the hell I’m living
So different now from what it seemed
Now life has killed the dream I dreamed…

    Hello Dearest Amitabh SIr,

It really feels very happy when ur loved ones are around….Its nice that after feeling somewhat lonely and the feeling of nothingness here in Dubai.. and when u r back u get such a warm welcome from ur loved ones..it just an energizer to get set and go…

Yes technology plays a great role in todays world…its for genuene reasons many families part and stay far in different locations of the world,as even we do..but thanks to the great technology and gizmos we have..we can speak with our family, see them,we stay so connected and so very near..and thus Thanks to the technology….

All the best for your new endeavour

and haan..one more thing Amit Ji,. whenever you have some time We would like to know your experience of composing and singing the title song of “BAABUL”. Such a Poignant number it is. And in your voice it is so heart touching that, one cannot resisit tears to flow from his eyes…such a beautiful song and so very well sung..

Amidst of the fun and entertainment, the most touching and sensitive ritual of Hindu weddings is the “Bidaai” part…where the Bride bids farewell to her parents and goes to her husband’s house in a hope to start a new and peaceful life. Beti ki bidaai mein maa to ro leti hai lekin BAABUL ka kya? Daughters are close to father, I am a daughter and can very well understand the state of mind and heart of the father in his daughters marriage. Unke dil ka haal Jaise Kale, ghane baadal ghir aaye ho,jo barasane ko vyakul hai….agar barasne ka mauka mile to na jaane kitna barsenge…

May every daughter gets a BAABUL like the one in the movie..

    luv u always

    my sweet Amitabh..
    good evening my dear…
i am happy to read that coming back home was a happy event for you and the family…and you are now with the family..and with your lovely grandchildren….
how are they?i can fill your happiness talking about them..how they grow..how they act ..how they matured…they grow up fast…you think that as if it was yesterday that you got them as a lil gift from God and now …they have grown so much….time flies…..
you put the things as they are…where the hell are we and where are we heading???who knows….we dont..but by the looks of it its going to involve alot of technology….but when the children enjoy their time with all that technology its o.k but when they use it for bad things …there is the problem..and there is nothing that we can do about it….becouse they can hide every thing they do from us..its very hard for us to see what they are doing….and if you think that they cant hide what they do…i think you are wrong…they can….i heard about it many times….
lets hope that God will protect them …..
    my dearst Amitabh…
i thank you soooo much for the yellow lines …i know that you love us all and that you want to give us all the ‘gold’ from you…i was lucky to get the yellow line many times and hope and wish to get many many many more of them from you ..there were many times that i didnt get the yeloow line but i never give up and i get it alot..thank God and YOU….you make me so happy with your yellow lines..with only few words you can make me fill on top of the world and i belive that many fill that way too….
i realy hope and wish that i will get many many many more yellow lines from you again and again…you make me fill sooooo good..thanks…
happy that you had a good day at work….

My best wishes to Agastya and Navya for 2010. May the Almighty shower His choicest blessings upon the kids.

After my brazen “Christmas Wish” wasn’t granted, and then my comments were passed over…every day…I was really beginning to think that my poems had offended you somehow.
I couldn’t imagine that this might be true…but still.
Just in case you might have seen my comments/poems as shallow or vapid…let me assure you that I know they are.
I am well aware of my intellectual limitations…but I try to do the best with what I have to work with here…ha ha.
My comments and poems were written and sent to you with sincere love and affection and devotion. Hope you have accepted them with the same. Hope someday that you will find the time to tell me. Ever so happy to read that you cannot divide your affection as that would most certainly be ‘hurtful’. I shall always remain ‘with your love’…and I shall always return it to you ten-fold…and occasionally, I shall make it rhyme. Forever your poet, Valorie Adams

Amitji, your joy at being home and especially with Navya Naveli and Agastya is so palpable and endearing! I am so happy for you and for your family. This time is so precious, and I am glad you are enjoying it. I am trying to imagine the scene as you have described it, very vividly, I must say. So many wonderful, beautiful, smart people — all in one space.

Yes, children at this age grow so fast that one can tell the difference even in a few months. Quite fascinating, this process of growing up. Even when it happens right in front of your eyes, literally (when our children are living with us), we don’t see it. You look back and think of them as newborns, infants, toddlers, children, teenagers, young adults, adults — and you marvel.

I share your amazement at technology, its speed and all-pervasiveness, the sacrifice in privacy and confidentiality. Very well-written words.

Love your quote at the bginning. Good luck with your new animation venture.

We totally understand your inability to respond to everybody, there are so many of us and just one you, and as you say, it is a slow process. We appreciate your efforts to connect with as many as you can. Thank you.

    My love and regards, always,

    Jasmine

    With your permission, Mr. Bachchan…

    ***SMITA @ # 48***
    Dearest Smita,
May I ask you a question? You always address Mr. Bachchan as ‘Priya Sakhaa’…What does that mean? I think the word
‘Priya’ must mean ‘Dear’ or ‘Beloved’, is that correct? Can’t find the word ‘Sakhaa’ in any of my Hindi/English dictionaries…and I have THREE! Please enlighten me, if you have a moment. I would really appreciate it!
    With much affection, Valorie

  51. Upendra Kasid says:

    dear amitji,

greetings, u have put it very aptly, that one’s most trusted person especially in loneliness is one’s own self, ur inner voice is the one that guides u and remains the most loyal , come whatever may it never deserts u, anyways we r living in this robotic age , hence the over dependence on technolgy which is so endearing and challenges our minds to keep abreast with it or get left out, the younger lot especially the kids of today r gizmo bred, they know how to manipulate technogy to their advantage, be it computers or mobiles, they r adept it by default, as u rightly point out that due to this onslaught of technology, one’s privacy(secrecy) is not a secret anymore, once a karmayogi will always remain so and that is what u r, ur love for us, the EF and our feelings for u r indispensable, please enjoy the moments of happiness with ur family,

    regds,

ps: i request u and the EF to pray for the good health of my father who is suffering from a chronic kidney disease, coincidentally he is very similar to u sir in his approach to life

Lately you have been working in films surcharged with emotion and drama. For a change why not plan a full length comedy which will liven up the atmosphere all round. With all the varied experince under your belt it should not be difficult for you to make a comedy which will prove to be a resounding success at the box office.
    Good luck

  56. Mario Andrew Rodrigues says:

    Dear Amitji,

To admire self, hear the voice from within is to thank and speak to God in the silence of gratitude. Home is the best place to be in. Glad you are in the midst of family-all together-small,tall, elders et all to chatter softly , loudly yet affectionately.

Yes tomorrows inventors are the children of today. Quick in thinking, reacting, doing, mending, implementing. Thats how they are. Adley tries a few at home here.

And as far as yellow line goes, for me your writing everyday is a big yellow line by itself and for which I am always so happy and have nothing more to demand from you. Anything more would make me sound expecting too much in return. I am more than contend, fully knowing that you do think of me and everyone every breath and every thought.

Best wishes for the new launch. I was thinking you were so close in dubai and by not meeting you did I make a blunder. Well my heart says no. since you were always in there all the while.

    Love
    Mario

Welcome back home. It is with great pleasure to read your post today. Firstly I detest the younger generations addiction to computer games, to entertainment on the internet and to technological isolation. Yes, they are occupied and kept consumed in their little world but the personal interaction and touch is missed. It’s lost to a world where they are naive and gullible.

My nephews are never without their PSP’s or any other computer games console and it breaks my heart that in my day we played out in the garden or in a field. Perhaps a game of cricket or making go-karts. Yes, perhaps this is an old fashion view since we all need to embrace the changing times. Children are no longer safe playing outdoors and for the sake of their security we lock them up at home.

I also welcome your message regarding comments made. Yes, you can’t acknowledge them all, as much as you’d like however everyone here is equal and loved. It’s simply not possible to respond to all comments.

Welcome back home also Nareshbhai Bhatt .. I hope the head shaving ceremony went well for Kavin.

I have very little time, for I’ve been stuck in the world of India in 1969 when, as they said, TV was almost nonexistent there. I’ve seen the first 3 of 7 parts in one showing of Louis Malle’s fascinating ‘Phantom India’

It’s good to hear that you are back home with your family, especially the grandchildren.

I can understand the frustration of not being able to reply fast enough. Yo have been so generous with your time. It is too bad the technology cannot be instant.

I must go now because the next pat of the documentary is about to begin.

    Love,

  63. Rasha Zayed says:

    My dearest Mr. Bachchan,

As I was involved in my readings in history and going through the various stages of the national movement I resort to my phone, which is one of the modern gadgetries that have come to be an essential part of our lives, to check for your new post…
And finding it I directly tear myself away from intense and various historical incidents, leave all in hand and rush to another of the modern tools to connect to you..

Welcome back to sweet home, and iam glad that you are cherishing a warm and endearing atmosphere amongst your family members and enjoying the presence of your delightful grandchildren..

For the last couple of days and with the advent of the new year that completes the first decade of this millennium, there have been talks every where about the unprecedented development in the realm of technology and on the various devices and tools which, over a short span of time, have made their presence so intensely in our lives.

It indeed takes us in its fascinating world, and I believe that one of its virtues is that it has allowed me this communication with you know whom…who had existed for me only in an exotic time and place.
The world has become open for one and for all, to absorb from it what ever he can get of knowledge and other entertaining materials..
And of recently iam happy at the prospect of finding numerous and mush needed online resources which will help me with my studies…

But looking from another side, it has also affected our social life. With the presence of all these modern and technological gadgetries we become all isolated in our own worlds, we are there together…and not really together, which is certainly frustrating who needs to feel our presence amongst them…like everything else, it is a double faced coined…

It was delightful reading your various replies to many lucky FmXt…
And of course your effort to satisfy your readers and commentators is very much appreciated…never mind being unable to respond to all. Of course it is understandable how tremendous a task it is…

Your new project with animations sounds really to be an interesting and exciting one. It will be really amazing to watch a movie with animation to which you lend your voice…all best of luck, and iam waiting with curiosity an interest to know about the other projects to happen soon…

Enjoy your time with your loved and close ones..
And all best my best wishes for you…

Now will get back to those who have been persistent, determined to fight for their rights with clear vision of what is really their most important and common goal…

And you never cease to be in my thoughts..

I will remain with you… because you are always here and that’s most satisfying.

My love to you…and even more,
    Rasha Zayed,

  64. Manashi Srivastava says:

    Dear AmitJi,

Just while I started writing to you I saw dear Valorie’s comment at no. 50 & feel that i should answer her question since i read it………..so with your kind permission,

“Valorie, “Sakha” is a beautiful word in hindi meaning male friend the female one being “Sakhi”………..if you ever watch a very good, sensitive movie of AmitJi, “Bemisaal” you would find AmitJi addressing the lady of the film as “Sakhi”………I watched it many years back & that was when i first came to know of the terms but it became such craze among my friends that i still remember one of my friend while sending invitation for his sister’s wedding to us addressed his female batch mates as “Sakhi” and male batch mates as “Sakha”!………..Thanks to you for ur question I again remembered something good……….I immensely liked all the three leads in Bemisaal, except felt very bad when AmitJi played villain to the character of Aruna Irani for the sake of his friendship to Vinod Mehra. ”

AmitJi, thanks for the beautiful poetry…….short, poignant & honest:) I would write it down now in my diary.

I often wonder seeing today’s kid’s whether too much of technology is in a way harming them, my sister’s kid also remains so busy with gadgetry’s that he has at times no time even for his parents, always remaining in his own little world………..isn’t it scary? I don’t know, just thinking loud. When we were children we used to put so much stress in playing with other kids, reading story books, things were not unlimited as it is today so there was a thrill in getting our coveted one doll or a storybook once in a week………..there was a happiness in fulfillment of our unspoken wishes at times cause we knew our parents won’t be able to afford much.

But now with double income parents, like recently one of my friend was telling me that her son while getting presents during his birthday party complained why one is a smaller one………..i mean not up to the mark………..my friend was telling me that her son doesn’t attach much value to these presents…….it’s kind of “taken for granted”!

And then post this confusion in mind I started laughing while I read that many of dear FmXt is unhappy that they are left out from your response…………Well I also belong to that unlucky group:)………….and while this morning I logged in and saw “The Beginning” I thought that they were the only one and my comment at no.42 is missed by a mere margin of 12…………so I sent a mail to my husband crying that had i taken break from work little early I would have got your response.

Now saw that there was “beginning, middle & the end” and well my dear Saturn ruled zodiac sign again remained unfortunate not to fall in either category :)

Wishing you success in all your endeavors!

    Thanks & Regards,
    Manashi

Whar a wonderful feeling to be back home!!! In warm Mumbia weather, we are freezing here with 2to4 degree F, temps.. with beautiful sun shining, with clear skies and with snow on the ground seems like nature has planted diamonds on the surface of the earth.. its a beautiful sight but too cold to step out, so here I am sitting at the computer with the world on my finger tips.

Agreed tecnology has taken over young and old’s life; well
The number one benefit of information technology is that it empowers people to do what they want to do. It lets people be creative. It lets people be productive. It lets people learn things they didn’t think they could learn before, and so in a sense it is all about potential.

Technology has really made a big differences in how people live and work.

Here with a click we feel connected to you, this won’t have been possible 15 yrs ago or so!!

Well enjoy your family and grandkids!!!

You know a soul-mate when you see one.

The only person who completely supports you, shares your deepest desires, who is always standing faithfully by your side, is you. Empower yourself. Technology is frightening, how easily someone can get information about you without you even knowing. But it is also a marvel. Why, without computers or Internet, this blog wouldn’t even exist, we would never get to interact with you! But their is a limit to everything. As a someone who I can’t remember once said, ” Too much of a good thing is… too much of a good thing.” Two positives equals a negative. Take some time away from your gadgets people, and go outside and smell the air, read a book, plant a tree. Nature has been our entertainment forever, and it still can be now, only if you let it.

Waiting in anticipation for the coveted yellow line!

” The sun, with all those plants revolving around it and dependent upon it, can still ripen a bunch of grapes as if it had nothing else in the universe to do.” - Galileo Galilei

    Dearest Amit ji,

    Namaskar!!!

These days kids are smart and most of them are tech savvy. Kindle is indeed a great invention and may replace books, but all comes with a price to pay.

Its nice to read that you had your grandchildren pick you up at the airport. Its always nice to see some family when you come back from a long journey.

Please do not worry to respond all messages since your writing the blog in itself is a great treat for all of us your fans. We are happy to read your reply and understand you fall short of time and have a busy schedule.

    Love you…

  98. Pratik says:

    Dearest Amitji,

Glad to have u back home. Obviously even you would be thrilled to have your grandchildren around. How was their new year in Bangkok?

The first few lines of today’s post are simply superb!!!

Its 2.25am, i have just returned from a show of ‘3 idiots’. All i can say that Indian cinema is ready to take on the world. First ‘Wake up Sid’, then ‘PAA’ and now ‘3 idiots’.I think you haven’t seen the movie as yet. I hope you see it soon. Even your grandchildren will like it. A movie for all ages.

I totally understand the technical problems arising when you reply to the comments!!! Sometimes even when i open the comments page the no. of comments, differs from the actual no. of comments that have been posted. Then after a while it gets updated automatically. This continues till your next post because even the comments don’t seem to stop. I guess some of the members of EF also face this problem.

Excited to hear more about your animation project!!

    Good night sir,

    Lots of love,

    Pratik

    Dearest Mr Bachchan

Solitude is good - solitude PLUS CATS is even better! I tell ALL my deepest secrets to my cats and they are the souls of discretion.

But I do hope that every word and deed within the privacy of our homes is not really recorded. If so, I really pity the person who ever had to view the playback of scenes from my domestic life.

Just this evening, for instance, would be a horrendous melange of me furiously doing a blitz of housework, swearing furiously when I had to change the hoover bag for example. Interspersed with me taking ‘kitty breaks’ where I stop to pet and sweet talk the cats.. how deeply embarassing would it be to replay those endless “who’s a gorgeous cat then… no, really, you ums the most gorgiss cat in the ooooniverse” routines that one is prone to recite when gazing at one’s beloved feline.

I really hope all THAT is not preserved for posterity :)

Glad you are so happy to be back amid all the family activity with Shweta and the grandies, which always makes you sound extra cheerful.

And already the first New in the Year… the animation venture is undoubtedly expanding your creative reach, and you clearly have much more excitement to unleash on us at 2010 goes by.

    Dear Sir,

You have given a very nice glimpse of the dark side of Technology …..!

I am scared to read it…. there won’t be any privacy for any one in the world after some years… and each move in our lives shall be fully governed and controlled by technology …. then finding a place where one could be alone in peace in true sense will be impossible. …..!

Then …..there would be places coming up with very very high expensinve rents….. who would claim that please come and stay with us …. with peace …. where is no TV, PC, Mobiles or any electronic gadget would disturb you….! one shall pay in cash…no credit cards…..! no ATM would be nearby ….! Khana Chulhe par banega……! One would not get any e-mail…only chiththi aayi hai aayi hai ….. hi gaya jayega …..!

I can right now feel the peace at such a place….. called heaven ….!

    Regards

The time is not far offf…….!

    Hello,

wishing you a very Happy New Year, its good to have you back in Mumbai.

I was just visiting chokhi dani the other day & I saw a puppet show. It was ok, but when I walked back I was wondering when did I see one before this - I think in school some 20 years ago.

I had a suggestion, can we through any of your films or through anyone get the attention of the crowd to these dying cultures cos when it gets done via the film industry the visibility is surely a zillion times more

Eg Aamir visiting chanderi, today people know saree’s are being made there - I’m not saying its a fcae revealed but next time when I see someone buying a saree I know something like chanderi exists.

Please let me know what you think

    Dear Amitji,

It was a joy to see your post and to know you’ve arrived back safe and sound to a warm welcome by your beloved daughter and grandchildren.

Loved the words you wrote at the top, so deeply moving and poignant.

It was very kind of you to have responded to so many including me, Appreciate its slowness of speed to submit causes a hindrance when you want to cover a vast number of responses and fall short. But you are here for us everyday no matter how tired or late it is and that is PRICELESS!! Please accept our deep gratitude and appreciation for this.

Your new animation film sounds most intriguing and exciting. Good luck with the launch.

Hoping you have a long restful night and may tomorrow of the New Year be the start to beautiful beginnings.

    With love & prayers,

  119. Anu (London) says:

    Hamare Amithji Dost Parnam,

Lonely moments indeed, allow us to capture our real inner self. Being bedridden, draws numerous hours of loneliness and thoughts, both good and bad ones, but it is a phrase, we enter it, ponder over, and soon depart leaving many ideas and secrets behind…

Thank you for your reply, magically it came in my dream last night, and then this morning there you were.. So strange.. but true. .Yes getting stronger, but very slowly, am still weak physically and very much bedridden, at times it feels rather scary… Will I be able to walk again..time will tell… Thank God we have a mental side..lol…

So glad to hear you so happy, with the family..Makes you so complete and always brings the best of moods in you that we thrive on.. Nothing like a house full of our loved ones..totally amazing.. These sort of things we take so much for granted whilst the family network is one and the children are still too young.. it’s only when all leave the nest and grow up.. the urge of then wanting a get together is a blessing….

Oh what would we do without technology these days??? Yes it’s all over the place, both in and outside of our homes… In and out of our pockets, from the ‘Bacha to the Budha’ weve all got them in some form or other.. What ever happened to primitive living??? Makes you wonder how on earth mankind ever managed before they actually came along…The more we discovery , I suppose the more Man wants…

Our children and the more newer generations will not and never know any difference… for them it’s the only world they know..And a normal part of living. And it just gets more mechanical as time prevails…

Your right about nothing ever gets DELETED, as we know it… and in some countries more than others ‘BIG BROTHER’ is always watching over you… Your Name, Date of Birth, Identity, National Insurance No, Passport, and other identity methods can track and monitor all. This certainly apllies in the UK.

Good luck with the new venture, look forward to hearing it…Hope by the time RAAN comes in the cinema’s I’m able to go n watch it myself…

    Okay do work,rest n play

    My lov as always

    Anu

    Hello Sir,

While waiting at Boston airport, just went through your today’s post and it left me wondering “Where does he bring this energy and dedication to be in touch with his readers from? What time management principles he follows that even after around 4hrs of gruesome flight from Dubai and spending quality time with his family, he makes sure that he does not miss on saying hi to his fans and readers across the world and update them about what happened in his life may be a few hours back. Awesome! I wish I can do that sometime”. Many congratulations and have a great year ahead.

I’m wondering if you have ever seen this fascinating 7 part series. They showed the some filming from a Tamil movie.

So now you will be a animated character in a film. Yet another challenge for you. It will be great to hear your voice. You are expanding ever further into more areas of film and entertainment. I can’t wait to hear more about it in the future.

    Dearest Mr. Bachchan…
One of your most loyal and loving EF wrote a poem not too long ago that really fits in with the post you wrote today!
I am going to type it in here for Him, so that everyone here on the Blog can enjoy it! Hope He won’t mind me doing this…
He is a very humble person and probably wouldn’t do it
    Himself…

“BACCHE, BACCHE’ by Mr. Vishan Lal

Bacche bacche hain kahan? Sara jagat hairan ~
Jab jee chaahe jhatek den, badon badon ka maan.

Badon badon ka maan, gyan ke bane pitaare ~
    Computer, Mobile, TV, inke pyaare.

Maana dhoodh ke daant, abhi hain jism ke kacche ~
Par kya man ke sachche, abhi bhi aaj ke bachche?

***Lovely, isn’t it, Mr. Bachchan? Back on November 16th, Mr. Vishan Lal asked me, ever so kindly, to take His translation and make it rhyme…I have put it off out of fear of disrespecting His wonderful poem…but I told Mr. Lal that I would do it… I don’t take requests like that lightly…So here it is…
I hope I have done justice to your poem, Mr. Lal…however, nothing will ever compare to the beauty of your original words, Sir.

    “THE CHILDREN” by Vishan Lal

Are the children of today still really child-like?
The world around them watches and is amazed…
Today’s children are so technologically advanced ~
Their brilliance leaves adults behind and dazed!

Unlike those of us who find ourselves advanced in age ~
Young minds so easily absorb knowledge and information…
Where we once read books or rode on our bikes outside ~
Their time is spent with cellphone, TV and Play-Station!

Agreed, our little ones still display their original teeth ~
And yes, clearly their delicate bodies are still small…
But with this barrage of data and the lack of inter-action ~
Are they really still innocent children now at all?

    ******************************************************************************
***********Dearest Mr. Vishan Lal…I’m sorry if it isn’t what you wanted…I tried to stay true to the translation you had given me to work with…know that I wrote it with the best of intentions and with the utmost respect for you, Sir…*********

‘ Nine” and ” It is complicated”and our own desi movie Three idiots, maybe some other time. I can only say that our way of telling a story is diferent than other films made here. I do not like to compare but it is different. As you cannot compare different novels, same way you cannot compare movies. Each of them were worth watching , some for its simple philosophy, some for good acting ,some for directions and some for the whole package.

Yes electronics are amazing, with a click of a button you can reach any part of the world and like an encyclopedia you can get every answers for your inqusitive mind.

    You take care.

    With lots of love

    sumi :) :}

  129. Jasmine of London says:

    My very dear Mr Bachchan,

A pretty quote, thank you for sharing and very apt for your Dubai trip. Yes, it is vital to remain at one with ourselves from time to time and be in tune with that inner voice, which I believe is our best mentor and guide in all circumstances.

So pleased you are home safe and sound and were able to spend quality time with the grandchildren, who do sound increasingly grown up and composed by your descriptions each time you write about them!
That is quite a collection of technology and yes, it does rule our lives, and sadly we would be stagnant without it. A lot of our humanness is being swallowed up at the same time. We will find ourselves entirely without the need for human interaction and without the ability to converse soon!

You do raise a valuable issue about confidentiality - I had not considered it in that depth - and I certainly will investigate the extent of its relevance to ordinary folk like me!

My personal ethics ensure I am guarded with all information I convey. And unless trust is established with the recipient of messages and calls of course precautions should be taken. But it does sound very excessive and restricting that our voices can be recorded in our own homes! Indeed what would the purpose be and who would be storing the information…and what about when we sing in shower?! This must breach human rights to privacy to a certain extent. And yet none of this inhibits crime or corruption to any great degree. We the innocent, law abiding citizens are kept under surveillance while the true culprits of misdeeds escape unscathed! Most enlightening, frightening and dissatisfactory!

I have often wondered what creative stone you have not left unturned during your diverse career and… viola… the animation! I did giggle when I read that and of course the imagination has gone wild anticipating what wonderful ideas will unfold. At least its heartening that innovative concepts are continuously flowing. You always relish fresh challenges / career ‘firsts’ and it keeps your career interesting for both the public and yourself. It always has to be said, your willingness to change with the times and attempt to span each generation is most admirable and you are one of very few malleable enough to keep up with the times.
So, the very best of luck with your creative meeting; although I realise you are a nocturnal creature Mr Bachchan, I do hope you will not be working into the early hours!

I shall bid you a very goodnight for today and thank you for keeping in touch despite other commitments. Enjoy your dear grandchildren too, if you can prize them away from their gadgets, that is! They always do bring a lightness of spirit to your tone and they are perhaps the perfect antidote to solitude..

In and with reciprocation of your love…

    Jasmine
    xx

I see that I own that movie ‘BEMISAAL’ and have yet to take the cellophane wrapper off of it! I will think of you when I watch it…can’t do that right now, however, because the

    dear amit ji,
watched ‘PAA’ again. when u like a film ..watch it again, in 2nd instance, you will catch teh nuances of the actors, director & the reason, why this scene , that plot, this tiny bit etc had to be….& had to be there.

i just needed to ask 1 thing. when we distribute the prints to teh cinema halls/multiplexes, do we make sure that the equipments are of right quality so that teh picture quality is not distorted? the projectors are right..? the volatage required is good..? or do we leave this to the protests of teh audience..?

while watching PAA here in lagos, in city mall, a multiplex, i observed that the voltage was lower than what it would have required for perfect viewing, or may be teh projector wasnt in order. the difference to me was vivid, but the audience largely complained, jeered, sloganed…but the management took no pains to make corrections. the audience ratio, amit ji, was 65:35, nigerian: indians. i loved that. the crowd loved it. again teh same feed back which i gave, when watched in india, teh 1st time.
ur powerhouse perfomance was’expected’ hence kudos to abhishek & vidya.

love u balki…. make more such films…amitabh bachchan will do justice to all teh roles u can conceive of…

    take care all,

    pankaj, & tanvi.

  134. Sudheer Raj says:

    Hello Sir,
I really felt bad about Day 621(i) 17th comment of Radha Bala.As i was scanning through the comments saw her comment, but its really bad to comment like that,I think you should not encourage those type of comments to enter into your blog, they must be deleted while modifying and updating in to your blog.

She dont have the right to talk like that,i hurt by her comment and i can understand how u would have felt but your response again impressed me and the respect towards you have doubled,am sorry for that comment of that lady.Fans Like me cannot see such comments on your blog.

Khud life mein Kuch Banthe Nahi to be recognised by public , Aur jo bhi bada banthe hai unko respect deni chahiye if not because of their present status atleast for their hardwork they have undergone all those years to be at this present status.

She was pointing you about your film but she is reading your blog since two years but she didnt understand where ever u go how much work u have u made her read ur blog each and everyday for those years, its a human nature if something creative of our own if put in a display then to get attention of public
we put some glittering things to attract the public then we expect the reaction if appreciated then we are most satisfied if not then we would definitely try harder next time to get that appreciation.

For example in her case if she buys a Mercedes Benz then it is obvious that she is satisfied and Happy with her car and would like to show it to everybody and expects gud response from people surrounded by her such is the human nature,if somebody buys a lamborghini then it doesnt mean that your Mercedez benz have no value in front of them.We agree Lamborghini is a gud car but when Mercedez is your car then you will be more interested in your car not in others car. So Radha Bala if u understand this then you know what a big mistake u have done by commenting Such an Admired Person on Earth.

She was saying about Aishwarya Rai,she doest have any right to talk like that about her,she was born on 1973 and won the Miss World title in 1994.At the age of 21 She became Miss World,What is Radha Bala doing at her 21.
In 2004 she was chosen by Time magazine as one of the World’s “100 Most Influential People”.In October 2004 a wax figure of Rai was put on display in London’s Madame Tussaud’s wax museum. She was the 6th Indian and the second Bollywood personality after her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan to get this honour.Rai became the first Indian to appear on such shows as Late Show with David Letterman, and was the first Bollywood personality to appear on Oprah’s “Women Across the Globe” segment.

At this age of 36,she have done 38 movies since 1997 to 2008, ANd she is still continuing with more films, I question Radha Bala what did she achieved in her life … even if she achieved it is not as worth as she got any public recognition for her achievement.

Please Sir Send this message to her, because i wont tolerate if anybody talks about you like that.

    This is Sudheer
am 24 now i dont how much old is Radha Bala if she is older i would feel shame on her to talk like that if she is younger i would say her to Grow Up

  135. Phyllis (PB) in Texas says:

What Mr. Bachchan wrote today has moved me to write this, in addition to all the laments for having missed yellow lines that I keep reading. For those of you who despair at the lack of a yellow line, let me share with you a poem that I have always found strangely heartening, at many frustrating intervals of my life:

    El Hombre

    It’s a strange courage
    you give me ancient star:

    Shine alone in the sunrise
toward which you lend no part!

    William Carlos Williams, 1917.

Keep in mind the most important thing, the miracle of our ongoing intercommunication on this blog, and trust in your own endeavor. Simply being here is worthwhile. For yourself, if you will let it be, and for others, if you think past yourself when you write.

For those who cut and paste the same thing day after day after day after day for weeks on end, think about how tedious it must be for Mr. Bachchan to have to read the same thing over and over and over again, a man who himself never repeats, but exerts himself each day, no matter how late at night that day might be, to write anew to you each and every day without fail. When you ask, in addition to all this, an extra exertion on his part in order for you to receive your own up-close-and-personal yellow line, think about what you have given in return.

I’m not talking about being brilliant or writing long comments, but of giving truly of what you have. Some of the most moving comments I have ever read on this blog have been those tremulous newcomers tip-toeing for the very first time into their life-time hero’s presence, or those commenters whose brief, broken sentences speak through the imperfect grammar of a second language to shine out in a true eloquence beyond words, speaking those dil se feelings that transcend language, that come straight from the heart.

    Love to one and all,

    Phyllis

  136. Dharmen (Melbourne) says:

Amitji, the use of gadgetry nowadays rules the world. School kids now have their own little net-books at school in Victoria. There is no need to take the whole class out to a computer lab. They sit at their desks and use their net books to search whatever is required. The libraries will be merely used as resource centres.
I do not complain about any yellow lines as I only wish to read what you write and also get the chance to give you some feedback. That is more than enough for me. Also, I know that you do read all the responses. So I seek no more, as I am quite content at that.
Your joy of going back home to meet your grand children is very exciting. I would also be excited if I was in the same boat. Yes, family is always there for everyone.
Regards to you and the Bachchan Family.

  138. Aniseh, Toronto says:

    Hello Amitabh,

I am glad you’re back on home ground and enjoying your family.. nothing like enjoying some time off - but I could “see” that you were getting restless wanting to be back under normal circumstances again!

As for me, without meaning to sound ungrateful, since i have enjoyed some very welcome time off (Christmas and New Year holidays), i would love to give up my job (which I truly enjoy!) and be service to the rest of humanity - to be able to look beyond myself. I feel most restless when i hear the news each day - more killings, more disasters and sometimes the protective cocoon we spin around ourselves can just get tiring. I believe I should be out there doing more.. Hopefully that time too will come.

Goodbye and enjoy your day..see you in the morrow!

    Dear AB

yes its true everything we do, write, is watched and recorded through some or the other form of technology and with the new gadgets coming everyday people have stopped talking and started chatting :) they send emails, rather than calling over the phone, everything has become technology driven and 5 year old kids are playing on laptops, God knows what will happen in this decade ….lets hope and pray for the best.

enjoy your time with family & gadgets ;)

    love u loads

  140. Veena says:

    Dear AB,

I couldn’t agree more with yours lines. A friend is someone who lets you converse without being judgemental and conscious of ones being. Once we realize it exists within, we stop looking for one.

I am glad you are back home and had a great time with your grandkids. I am too amazed by todays generation and their grasp over everything from technology to science to nature. It’s either sweet or cool or easy or boring!

Looking forward to the animation film. Are you going to do voice over for The Lion King? Stay warm.

  141. Lakshmi Jag says:

Phyllis….will keep your comment in mind next time I fail to get a yellow line and want to complain. I am guilty of complaining and reading his blog today has multiplied my guilt. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. Deep down I do know he reads our comments but you know in our language there is an adage which says even a mother does not give unless asked. I guess our love and respect for him is so great that we become greedy. But once again, thank you.

    Lakshmi

  142. Lakshmi Jag says:

    Dear Mr. Bachchan

Thank you…..I do not know how you do it. We have so much to learn from you and my respect for you has multiplied ten fold. Next time I promise I am not going to complain as I learned my lesson today. Take care and enjoy your family.

I wish if you could also join twitter and tweets(less than 140 words) good words (which you normally did) in KBC or Big Boss 3 i mean words of wisdom. Myself not sure if it is a good idea as you write blog more beautiful and elaborative..>I have said several times but again a new thought why you are so super actor for us, i was watching Don poster…and your running image, it appears that you will come out of the poster..it has life in it. I think in those days you gave everything possible your heart blood and soul to the characters and that is why they are alive even in posters, be it Mard, Coolie, Sharabi or Don…I don’t want to name all your super successful movie as everyone have heard it 1000 times zanjeer, sholay, deewar etc.

    Dearest Zainab,

I just read your entry yesterday about your cousin’s passing away. I know this is a very hard time for you, my dear girl, and words seem totally inadequate when you are up against an experience like this. All I can do is to express my love and care for you, and to tell you how sorry I am for you and your family. You spoke bravely about moving on, and I admire your determination and your optimistic attitude. But crying is OK too, and sometimes it sweeps over you without any forewarning, so if you ever feel the need for an additional shoulder to cry on, know that I am here for you, that we are here for you.

    With all my love,

    4. Attachment with us. (nevermind for not getting yellow line) sometime bigger than yellow line in store…… I met you in Ahmedabad in one cricket match in way back 1985….. I have still those memory.

By the way yesterday I have seen 3 Idiots. What a wonderfull movie. Amir Khan a real gem of acting. You never feel that he was acting, in fact he was living the cherecter. Good Movie and tough and healthy competitor to PAA as far as award winning race.

    Dear Amitji,

my apologies for watching Paa so late as i was occupied with the heartfelt issue of telangana and it was emotionally difficult to watch the movie during this time.
Now the movie made my belief stronger in the sense that the days of spoon feeding the audience are slower getting over in hindi cinema.More than the prosthetics[although i aknowledge ur hard hours put in] i was amazed by the body language of Auro which was perfect.Ilayaraja,on whose music we in south grew up on, never misses the touch.Thanx for a good movie.
Vidya was beautiful and i would have drooled on her more if auro wasnt in the movie!Lol.

i would like to write a few lines of the revolutionary Hyderabadi poet Makhdoom mohiuddin remembering him.

  162. vishan lal says:

    Dear Amitji, NAMASKAR.

Nothing gives more happiness than the presence of family members around, particularly when everyone is so occupied with his/her own world. You, time and again are reviving the importance of joint family which unfortunately is losing existence due to many compulsions. Thank you for drawing attention of us towards importance of living together.

I very much liked the idea of working with TIMES NOW to bring closeness with PAKISTAN, culturally and emotionally. Surely this will cut distances in other fields also.

Praise is coming to PAA from all directions. I heard SHATRUGHAN SINHA on TV yesterday saying PAA as the milestone in the cinema journey. I hope the Government soon makes it TAX FREE so that it can reach more audiences particularly in all small cities also.

Having already been blessed with yellow lines couple of times, I know that you do not distinguish between one and another. But when we are missed having reached almost close, it hurts for a moment. We know you are fair always but ISS MAN KO KAUN SAMJHAYE……

As mentioned by Rochelle, we are happy that you are diversifying your involvement in other directions also. You will make the things PURE GOLD whatever you touch, be it ads, films, TV shows, poetry or anything. We want to see you work for many many more decades.

May I just remind that 4838485 still needs your kind attention please………. Hope you find time soon to clear that backlog as promised by you long ago but could not do it due to Bigg Boss and PAA, etc.

    Vishan Lal

    PS:
Dear Valorie Adams # 126: First of all I wish you a very happy and more poetic new year as I am addressing you here for the first time. I knew the translation from you will definitely come. I never thought of reminding you. And it has come early in 2010, I am really happy and grateful. And since you have thought of reviving my original poem in your post today, I feel humbled. When I read today’s post of Amitji, I really thought of my lines but did not want to repeat it myself.

You have done full justice to the translation. I could not have asked for more. The honour you have shown to my request is matchless which can be found only on the forum like this created by our dear Big B. I do not know how to replay you and in what way.? Here I just want to repeat “THANK YOU” for 108 times. Now why 108 times? You have to do some research. I hope you succeed. With heartiest blessings and respect. Vishan Lal

Good Morning mere Jaan se bhi aziz Amitji

Jitna time aap ne aeroplane se safar kiya hai in your life, utna time tou maine aapni puri zindagi mein havent travelled by a car. Great to see that you have travelled 3/4 of the continent on this planet earth. Sir I think you should visit Australia, Fiji and New Zealand to make it complete. You know “round round”…(Auro). Puri duniya ka chakkar. Aap sochana zaroor. Sorry Amitji, Auro ne tou dimaag par khabza kar liya.

Good luck with the animation film. Cant wait to see that. It should be great fun to hear your voice on that animated character.

    Amit dear …

Your message today made me realize that the only written communications we get are at Christmas time, when people write a few lines on a card and send it by snail mail, or the Christmas letter folks write to let you know what they’ve been doing all year. Gone are the long letters people used to write, which formed the basis of so many biographies and histories. I miss them, but on the other hand there’s much more communication with the people we love, since it’s so easy and cheap to phone or e-mail. Not anything you could stick on the mirror in your bedroom, though. We used to keep all those things where we could see them and be reminded of our boyfriends and the fun and romance of those early days. One little note and we were sighing over it for days. Weeks. Now everybody is texting …

    Aloha from Hawaii …

    Love, Dorothy

You are back in Mumbai ! We thought you wpold be here still for the opening of the iconic Burj Dubai - the tallest building in the world. I was telling my family that it takes a TALLEST icon to be present at the inauguration of the tallest building here in Dubai !!

We hope you had a pleasant stay here - we certalnly liked the lovely weather you brought here.

Talking about icons, today is the 15th death anniverary of RD Burman. You & him were associated in several superhit films - Bombay to Goa, Deewar, Sholay, Kasme vaade, Manzil, Satte Pe Satta etc. However there are films such as Mahaan, Pukaar & Great Gambler where you had voiced songs under his compositions. Could you please describe your experience & your association with him & let us have some insight on your favourite music composed by him.

Otherwise we wish you & your loved ones a very happy, healthy & peaceful 2010.

    Respected Brother
    Sadar Pranaam

I was wondering about life.. I was not able to recollect how to express myself.. for a change I thought let me write what I feel in English.. the poor man’s thought are expressed here.. I switched over to Hindi sooner than later tells how difficult it is for someone like me to express myself poetically in a foreign language..which many would accept that I know it well enough..

    Life
you are not what you pretend to be
    Life
    You are just a dream
    that we all see

    The times and tunes
    the blaring trumpet
    the words
    that make us feel and
    feed our mood
    the song that we try
sounds best when we cry !

The sad times are the ones
the most inspiring we find !!

    Hi Sir,

As stunning as it is to see the younger generations punching and working with technology faster then we could imagine, the pace at which the technology itself has developed is also as stunning. The world nowadays depends on such technology as almost everything is wired to some sort of gadget. Each is networked to another whose survival depends on the other. It is a world on its own. What one could not imagine happening yesterday is here today and what is imagined today is probably already in the process of appearing in the near future. What advancement! It is heartening to hear that you are getting the chance to spend time with the family as it is most important to do so. Enjoy it! Looking forward to hearing more about the creative animation project on hand.

Dearest Mr. Bachchan, Sir…with your permission?
    ***VISHAN LAL @ # 162***
Ohhhhh…I am so glad you found it to your liking, Sir!
It makes me unbelievably happy to hear that! But I am not worthy of your kind praise, it was your poem…all I did was put some rhyme to the English translation.
I did the homework you gave me! Let me show you the results of my ‘research’:
    1) In Hindu Dharma, the number 108 represents the Brahman.
    2) The Gayatri Mantra, which is the Mantra of ALL Mantras,
is chanted a minimum of 108 times. The more you chant
the Mantra, the more peaceful the mind becomes.
    3) Some believe that the number 108 is a ‘magic number’ or
    a spiritual number in Hinduism.
    4) Some believe that this number represents the body.
One of the Upanishads states that there are 108 paths
from the heart for the vital breath in the body.
    5) Malas (or Rosaries) have 108 beads and are used to keep
count of mantra recitation in Hinduism.
    6) The only way you can repay me is to be my friend for
    the next 108 lifetimes…minimum… :D

Thank you for the enlightenment, Mr. Lal. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share your beautiful poem.
With my most sincere affection, Valorie Lynne Adams

    Dear Mr. AB

How wonderful to see the precious gold again! I am delighted for the lucky recipients, but mostly happy to see you walking among us and feel your presence near. Being online at the same time and watching the peela lines appear - almost as if you walked through my room….lol….dream on….but the knowledge that you are there at the other end of an invisible wire is real.

It’s thanks to all the gadgets and the exploding technology that we are more than a faceless mass to you and you are so much more than a shining star in the distance to us! We are so blessed to have this communication.

Our children are born into the knowledge and know no other way. The kindle might be a good thing (although I would rather go hungry for a while before giving up my beloved old books), but sometimes I wonder whether the next generation will even have the attention span to read a long book.

But they will build their own world, see to their own needs and will have to find a way to live in it. It is our job to give them as easy a start as we can. By leaving an inhabitable planet, for instance.

Will the cartoon character with your voice look like you? Please tell me soon, I might take a long long long time to get used to the idea….and love it in the end, of course….

    Love you now and always,
    Renate

I have no idea what Kindle is-never heard of it.

I wound up seeing all 3 parts of ‘Phantom India’ when I realized I had time for part 3 also. It was a perfect way to spend 7 hours indoors on a bitter cold day. (In my previous comment, I had mistakenly said that the original parts 4 & 5 were in Part 3 when it should have said Part 2.) I was surprised that the section on Bombay had no mention of Hindi cinema.

I just said goodbye to my sister after the Indian restaurant, my dish being Bindi Bhajee and her dish accurately representing the ‘very spicy’ in the title.
Now there will be more lonely hours sharing my deepest secrets with myself. I’d rather not know them.

    Have fun with the family.

    Dear Amitabh Bachchan,

    I worked today , on sunny Sunday .. : )

Spending time in a loving and cheerful family circle is the most joyous of all..
I am so happy for you that you have your family around you back home now, including your wonderful grandchildren. Enjoy it and God bless you all ..
    *
The world of modern gadgetry is out of my reach to a degree : )
I have a mobile phone and a several years old stationary computer, and I can perform the functions I need the most with what I have.
But the world of electronics is exciting and fascinating and I hope to keep up with it and upgrade
    some day : )

    *
What you mentioned about everything people say or write being electronically monitored and recorded seems to me outrageous .. The aspect of breaking privacy and confidentiality on everyday basis in the society is against all norms and human rights. It was already practiced by totalitarian regimes - and not for humane purposes ! But in the democracy I suppose the consent of the citizens should be sought and received .. It is called - the freedom of conscience !!

You say that - “our words and feelings expressed in voice or its substitute shall be with us in perpetuity ..” In a sense it is always true ! The words will permanently mark and influence the thought process of another. And I believe we have a choice to decide if what we say can be hurtful or damaging and by any means abstain from such. It is very real in the channels of everyday communications.. We are responsible for each other this way..

    *
I am immensely grateful for your time and attention in giving us personal replies.
It means so much for all !! And I thank you again for your kindness and love …

    *
It is very interesting news that you are going to work in animation. I remember you lending your voice to the documentaries before. I think it is great..
And there is something exceedingly exciting waiting to be launched ?! We will wait .. : )

    God bless and take care.

I am and remaining with your love …
    And love to you.

  207. Kashmira Grewal says:

    My dearest Mr. Bachchan,

” Lonely hours are the best hours of life
    Because
    Its the only time
    We share our deepest
    Secrets with the most
    Trusted person in the world”

I completely identify with those words. It is a therapy, nothing less, to spend time with our Selves periodically…not so much for being at peace, but to go within, to connect and listen in. Like they say, if you do not go within, you go without! It is amazing how much we glean and how much we discover of ourselves, when we do that! The idea is to sort ourselves out, and understand Why we Are, and Who we Are. Ohhhh….there I go again! I am sorry!

Your being with the grand children, and describing the atmosphere in the house right now was blissful to read, to say the least! One wishes that time would stand still and things would stay that way for eternity! But oh, if wishes were horses, beggers would ride!! Change is the only permanant feature of our Be-ing, after all, and it is because of it, that we grow and we evolve! Bless the little ones….they sound like Masters in Computer Technology already!! And they make their Grand-daddy so, so proud of them - it is so evident - this pride in your tone as you speak of them each time! May it ever reamin so!

Please do not worry about being unable to respond to us each time Mr. Bachchan….yes, when you do, you transport us into a heaven beyond description, but even when you don’t, just being here with you and the others is extremely satisfying and a joyous experience in itself! Sad thing though, that each time I miss out on being here is exactly the time you choose to catch up with the responses….but not to worry…..I am doing fine, happy in the knowledge that I share this paltform with you!

Take care and remain well always!

    With much love,
    Always,
    Kashmira

May I address our EF too….? Thank you!

Jasmine Jaywant - Day 619(i) # 397 : Your messages are always so warm and so heartfelt, Jasmine! Thank you so much for always being so appreciative, dearie! I apologise for the delay in acknowledging but my daughter was home for a long week-end and thus was unable to connect with you dear ones! Hope I am forgiven!

Saroj, I am doing fine and thank you ever so much for enquiring after me always! I hope you are alright too. Take care and God Bless!

    Dear Sir,

    Greetings!
I am still wondering what next after Paa for the actor in Amitabh Bachchan???
Gadgets is a good catch sir… May be we should have a story like bond films or others in Hollywood, wherein gadgets develop brain/understanding which is far too better than humans and ofcourse, gadgets do not have any emotions… That could be a deadly combination for human existence and who better to save the world from these demons but one hero like AURO who may have life threatening problems but with it is god gifted with extraordinary brain. May be his brain functioning percentage is far more than anyone else on earth… That is how god has compensated him. This is simple stupid thinking process because I would only like to have “KUCH ALAG” from you sir. Thanks!

    Hi,

Hope you had a great day before you sat down to engrave your day’s routine.
It’s been only 3 months or little more that I started reading your blog…and it’s a great way to unwind from my work.
Sometimes, I discuss your thoughts and feelings with my friends and praise the way you write.
But one of my friends refuse to agree that you really don’t personally write the blogs but you make any of your assistants to write it for you, and I really and really don’t agree with her and I tried to convince her, but, its been real tough….can you please reply back something so that I can prove that AB really takes some time from his busy schedule.
When people don’t find time to fill their own diaries you really walk that extra mile for us and take your really and really precious time (bed time) and write for us….
Really thank you for your time and all the work you do for us…be it movies or writing for us…Thank you very much…

    Best Wishes,
    Cygnet.

141 Dear Lakshmi Jag, I loved that adage you mentioned, much better than the English one “the squeaky wheel gets the grease”!!

Personally, I see no reason for you to feel guilt. I always love reading your interesting comments, and I imagine that Mr. Bachchan enjoys them too.

And sometimes a request or even a complaint can be a legitimate exchange, a true communication. It’s just those cut and paste demands that are my personal pet peeve, demands that don’t partake of the spirit of inter-communication that I think is the life’s breath of this blog.

    Love and regards, Phyllis

  215. Jasmine Jaywant says:

Dear Valorie #126 and #180 and Vishanlalji #162: The revival of your poem and its excellent translation by Valorie reminded me of my own promise to you in Novemebr that I will answer your question. I wish I could write in verse, like the two of you, and am feeling quite inadequate right now. Let me say in simple prose that yes, I do think that despite their ease and familiarity with technology, bachche are still man ke sachche.

I think the span of childhood has been shortened, with children learning at 3 or 4 years of age what we did at 7 or 8, and being as tech savvy (perhaps more, far, far more) at 7 or 8 than we are at 25 or 45 or 65. That is a function of the times and the world we live in. They are exposed to so, so much, and born into a complex world, they master its complexities really quickly. They are admired for their smart replies rather than respect towards their elders. Our values and messages to children have changed, and they have adapted at lightning speed. We encourage and nurture their tech-savviness, and provide them with all the gadgets that we then admire them for using. As Amitji said and we all realize — the times, they have a’changed.

But I do feel children’s purity, their innocence, their knack of saying things or asking questions with a directness that leaves us amazed and wondering “Where did that come from?” is still intact. For a shorter time, yes. They lose the innocence faster, yes. Childhood is truncated, most certainly. But luckily, they are not born with a pet mein darhi yet! :) I see the innocence of the child who befriends the ghost in “Bhootnath”. Even Auro, at 12, with his knowledge of his imminent mortality, has his innocence and purity that shines through in the monkey dance. Ok, this is getting too long, so I’ll stop now.

    Regards, Vishanlalji.

    Jasmine

  218. RAVI P MALHOTRA says:

Dear Amitji, Good Morning. Being away from home is like being away from our epicentre. Returning back is a feeling of being homely and most relaxing. No paid comfort can equal the pleasure of home comfort where the mind is in its natural state of rest and lowest centre of gravity. One just falls in place at the right spot for the head feet and mind.
Daughter and grand-children fill the house to its complete brim. The scattered gadgetry makes the world converging and very small. One has windows opened to the entire world on click of a button. Children are very fast in mastering the endless new list of gadgets which never existed a decade ago. It is almost God has been replaced by Google or internet. If Internet would have been few centuries ago we would have had temples dedicated to Bhagwan Internetji Maharaj.
Hope you are back to your favourite daal sabji bhindi roti and ofcourse everything that grand children munch. You cannot match their lightening speed of thoughts and actions. Honestly you will be as slow as Auro in front of them. It must be a delight to watch them grow in stature and vocabulary.
A full house is God’s gift of happiness. There is no other worldly pleasure that can match family union.
4th Jan 1978 I lost my mother and never again felt that completeness of family in her absence. Infact always feel that she could have lived longer to give solace in life’s difficult times. Or she could have enjoyed fruites of her hardwork and hardships endured for us. So when you mention a feeling of family completeness I can easily relate what it means and when it ended for me.
Have a wonderful time and new work promising to be different as animation film. May be people want you to play different roles without showing you in person.
    Ravi P Malhotra

Today is a big day for Dubai, Burj Dubai’s opening….i am pushing him to go and see, let’s see jayenge ya nahi….

    NDH
    Hullo Genius,
May the sun, moon and stars shine bright and bring cheer and good tidings to you and your family ever and ever.. full of mirth , laughter, peace, knowlegde and prosperity… last , but not the least.
Well. it takes a time and lots of effort to build relationships and as much to let them go…those which go in a snap, were obviously not worht the relationship…. the effort to sustain them is important and we appreciate your effort. Though at times, one does get into doubt about one’s level or degree of acceptability; but what overtakes it all is the fact that one chose to associate unconditionally and without reciprocation… so why any expectation?… that was not the promise, so everything that comes by is a gift to be cherished. High thinking… nedds to be repeated mentally for conviction. Since the connect is so difficult , have even given up the ambition of that cherished cup of tea or glass of lemonade .An iota of doubt creeps in at times when the sun shines always on some, rarely on others . But, let us leave it at that. So, long as there is courage and conviction to be around it is ok to stay connect. Perhaps when that inner feeling dies… things maybe different.
Well about the opening lines.. very beautifully said , I am sure, not by you …. but limit it to just poetic justic…. otherwise life can be very difficult to live… have written about this earlier ( trust )also, but I dont know if you read it.

Re saw Bawarchi last night … with the voice over of the very young AB;;. nice , very nice. also saw Baghban: I liked the story of Baghban, simply for the bonding between man and woman… something to be cherished and needs more to be propagated…i.e if emotions can be propagated.
So another animation …ok… good luck
    my affection as always

A very happy new year to all of you! May you have a wonderful year ahead, those known to you, those unknown, and everyone. Have a great time.

    :-)Joke of the day :-)

    Bad Dream

Jemima was taking an afternoon nap on New Year’s Eve before the festivities. After she woke up, she confided to Max, her husband, ‘I just dreamed that you gave me a diamond ring for a New Year’s present. What do you think it all means?’

‘Aha, you’ll know tonight,’ answered Max smiling broadly.

At midnight, as the New Year was chiming, Max approached Jemima and handed her small package. Delighted and excited she opened it quickly. There in her hand rested a book entitled: ‘The meaning of dreams’.

Your voice is heard far and loud, there are things that you can express and be heard. There is a lot more that a 60+ mature human can do, and more so when there are such huge followers across globe, I am not too sure if there are UFOs following you too ;)
With you enlightenment!! May you achive more and more, not just for self but for the rest of the human race!!

I AM REALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH YOUR MODERATORS.. I WAS ALL ALONG UNDER THE IMPRESSION YOUR BLOG ALLOWS FREE THOUGHT AND THAT IS CLEARLY NOT THE CASE!! I WROTE ON 2 OCCASIONS MY VIEWS ON THE CHETAN BHAGAT AND 3 IDIOTS SAGA AND WANTED YOU TO SHARE YOUR VIEWS IF YOU FELT LIKE BUT YOUR MODERATORS HAVE COMPLETELY BLANKED MY COMMENT OUT!! WHAT FOR?? THERE WAS NOTHING ABUSIVE AND I HAD USED PROPER LANGUAGE.. IS IT NECESSARY THAT YOU SHOULD GET COMMENTS ONLY REGARDING YOUR BLOG OF A PARTICULAR DAY?? HAVE YOU GIVEN YOUR MODERATOR INSTRUCTIONS TO CUT OUT ANY SUCH BLOGS AS YOU DO NOT WANT TO LAND YOURSELF IN A CONTROVERSY?? SURELY, YOU WOULD NOT HAVE GIVEN SUCH INSTRUCTIONS.. BUT IT SICKENS ME THAT AS A TRUE FAN OF YOURS I CANNOT EVEN EXPRESS MY OPINION ON ANOTHER SUBJECT BEFORE YOU.. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO COMMENT YOU NEED NOT BUT WHY NOT ALLOW THE COMMENT ITSELF TO BE PUBLISHED? I AM SADDENED BECOS I REALLY THOUGHT YOUR BLOG WAS A 2 WAY STREET WHERE WE COULD SHARE THOUGHTS.. Rochelle 191 - Kindle is the high tech electronic version of the old fashioned book.

It’s a little screen (6 inches or so) with some kind of wireless intenet connection so you can download entire books straight to your screen. I think it can hold something like 1,500 books.

I can’t ever imagine wanting to do my reading like that… I love proper paper books you can touch and smell and love, not an endless scrolling screen. The book is an example of timelessly perfect form and function (much like the cat in fact).

And I utterly adore having my entire library literally all around me… though I do take this to extremes with my whole flat overflowing with books.

    With love from Daisy

    My dearest Amithji,

    How are you ?

Yes Amithji, lonely hours are the best hours of our lives, but only sometimes. If we are lonely too often then it may lead to somekind of depression! Is’nt it? So it is better we do some balancing act.

Many of the FmXt (including me) do express their sadness for missing the yellow line by a whisker, but they also add that , we do very well know your busy schedule, hence we do understand & are ready to wait forever for that coveted yellow line! That , you blog & read our comments is initself a gift to us fans, from God, so what more do we need ? So , please do not despair. We are very happy the way things are right now, only please share more photographs ,of yours, on this blog.

i think, now , the saying ’so & so is born with a silver spoon in his/her mouth’ should be changed as, ‘born with a laptop in his/her hand’ .
Thats how savy they are nowadays. I too , have a nephew who is 11years old, & the way he handles all electronic items at his home , is to be seen to be believed!!!!

Has new scenes been added to the movie, PAA? If so, would love to go & watch it again.

    Take care,
My love & support to you, always,

  302. Daksha says:

    Dear Sir,

Wishing you a very good afternoon there in India. I have missed writing comments to many of your Posts. It is only fair that I leave a comment for each Post having had the privilege of being able to read about your day-to-day activities. I am so glad you got to spend some time in Dubai and the experience will have done you a world of good. I shall leave a comment for each day that I missed but please feel free to skip reading if you cannot recall what I am talking about.

Day 615 Post - you have written about explanations as given by nature and science. You are right, scientific explanation will be backed up with proof but there will always remain some specific questions, explanations to which will remain beyond human’s capability. Many of us have wondered whether “someone” or some alien could be studying human mind/behaviour from “up there”. If “she” (doesn’t have to be a HE all the time) is watching me write this, can I just say to her “Hello alien bahen ji, would you care to share with me the mystery of life?”

There, jotting down that thought has cheered me up! It is never easy getting back to work in January in frosty conditions you know. To console myself, I have brought along a piece of cake which will be served with hot custard. If that does not lift the mood, I can always look for a chocolate gateau.

Day 616 - You wrote about cricket…I remember making use of my expertise on the subject whilst commenting.

Day 618 - You were in Dubai for Krishna Kapoor ji’s birthday celebration. There would have been no better birthday present for her than to see her immediate and extended families and friends all coming together, in this day and age, to wish her. I wish her and her family well.

You have written about the optimism and apprehensions for the New Year. If you have had to take a step back in your life, you have moved two steps forward. It shows that beneath the Legend is a human being who continues to make progress in spite of the odd drawback. You being where you are at this stage in your life, you have done exceptionally well for yourself, your family, the industry and the Indian race, last but not the least your fans. May all your dreams come true.

Day 619 - Thank you Sir for your kind wishes to this extended family. I have already wished you A Happy New Year, my wishes at the top of the list are good health and happiness for you.

Day 619 (i) - “To those that….” You have covered here every person and every eventuality. You do not just connect, you place yourself on the same level as us…just so..so humble you are Sir. Thank you for caring and sharing your thoughts with us. Your thoughts are profound and so valuable, we could not have received a better Christmas gift.

The screen awards for Paa and Three Idiots…can Auro ever be replaced in history regardless who takes home the trophy? Auro is not just art, Auro is attachment. Auro lives in the body’s system for ever and ever. I would say to “the rivals”….”Take all the awards and accolades which you may/may not deserve but Auro’s worth can never be compromised nor compared to another piece of art.”

Day 620 and the following Posts…I shall comment tomorrow.

Now I’ve forgotten the contents of today’s Post…what were you saying Sir…?Aaa….hh! Technology!! My favourite! I love technology! For what would happen to it without me…!

    Love,
    Daksha

  303. sana says:

DEAR ALL, I have noticed that comments addressed to Amitabh sir drip with honey & phillosophical add-ons to his post. Everyone sounds almost like his soul-mate. No diverse opinions, no ifs or buts, only jats! But when a Radha Bala comment appears suddenly the spiritual calm evaporates & the ugliness that flows through the keying fingers is as horrible as the offensive comment. “LOSER! LOSER!” SCREAMS THE MOB IN FRENZY THAT WOULD HAVE PUT ROMANS TO SHAME!
Even though anybody with a modicum of intelligence can guess that Radha Bala & all other such ppl who hide behind anonymity should be ignored. That is their best punishment, period.
The person has obviously used a fictitious name - its voice is that of a man. Probably a rabid fan of a rival star or somebody who has had an unpleasant experience with sir. Nobody is a paragon of virtue. Not even sir. Else, instead of revelling in the adoration (towards him) & hatred towards others he would reprimand those “fans.” Anyway, this is a curious phenomenon common to most idols & gurus. To preach peace & calm until it gets too close for comfort.
Lastly, what does it say of all you who pose as MATURE people? Where does ALL THIS HATRED COME FROM? Is not vengeance & hatred the creed of terrorists? When even innocent muslims are looked upon like that why are there so many ranting non-muslim names? Shouldn’t you’ll leave it to Radha Bala..whoever’s karma?
    Lots of questions. Think.

Line coming straight from lonely hours is quite a good one. I am still striving hard to find out that truest person, I can share my deepest secrets with.

Amit ji, thanks a lot. I liked the virtual yellow line not getting missed by inches for myself. Thanks a lot for this virtual acknowledgement. Though the line is virtual in nature, but the pleasure given, is nonetheless than a real face to face comment or line. Hopefully someone else from FmXt will be lucky next time by not missing the yellow line by inches virtually.

It is a good feeling to have kids jumping around, breaking things, making mess all over , screaming loud and spreading joy. I hope you are enjoying a lot with your grand kids.

Amit ji, my kids were also off for couple of weeks during Xmas and what kept them busy for hours and hours were WI games (Mario Cart was the new one on board), Computer games, Nintendo DSL and little bit of home work. You bet ! I feel like throwing these gadgetries where no man has ever gone before.

We will surely wait for the next launch eagerly…..and we shall wait….
With lots of love for you in this virtual bucket till this wait is over…..and after as well

With kind permission of Amitji, Sir.

    Dear Valorie Lynne Adams @ # 180

It was really very kind of you to have agreed to my request. With your wonderful translation, the reach of my poem has gone wide. I have copied your English translation in my diary with full credits to you, so that I could recite it to the non-Hindi friends also, if the opportunity comes my way.

And what a deep research on 108 !!! So far even I did not know all the six points of importance attached with the number as researched by you. I am very lucky that I am in touch with the intellectuals. I strongly feel that this bond established between us will remain forever with the Grace of God. Thank you once again and with warm regards.

    Dear Jasmine Jaywant @ # 215

It was really a very great day for me that I got a reply from you also. Your prose has definitely conveyed all in a lucid way. Prose or poetry, if written from the heart touches the soul. I quite agree with your whole narration and that is why I have put question mark after the line :

Par kya man ke sachche, abhi bhi aaj ke bachche?

In fact I had composed the whole poem keeping in mind the ever astonishing reflexes of my grand son (son of my daughter who has just completed 5 years). He appears so shrewd at times even at this tender age that sometimes I feel that his innocence has left him too early. When I recited this poem to my daughter, she was not very happy with me because mother’s perception for the child is always pure. Now after reading your views, I feel that she was right to great extent.

Anyway, thank you Jasmineji for your kind response and honouring your promise. Otherwise a reminder was due !

Blessings and respects – Vishan Lal

    Dear Anat Magen @ # 226

Thank you that you too liked the poem. I am really lucky because dear Valorie has publicised my poem again on this sacred blog.

With love and respects to one and all.

    Vishan Lal

  314. Jasmine of London says:

Good afternoon my dearest Mr Bachchan,

I do dope you are very well and enjoying your time with your grandchildren if they are still with you and in between work..

This big brother like technology issue you raised had heightened my curiosity to so much, you are cruel sometimes Mr Bachchan. I actually threw the discussion open to colleagues at work this morning. They reassure me it’s unlikely that my home is under surveillance; but deleted web and mobile content can be retrieved, with procedural constraints - if a formal investigation is sanctioned by the authorities. It’s conceivable and I suppose reassuring if the information is used in the correct way. We got carried away in discussing which alternative methods of communication we would use if we were to devise a conspiracy or something similar, and came up with a rather pathetic list of alternatives: homeing pigeons, messages in bottles, steganography (apparently a method of coding), extrasensory perception and the ultimate solution was, the good old fashioned letter! Direct, personal and utterly disposable; old really is gold sometimes!

Unsure what to say about the yellow line issue. It’s always problematic. I have expressed my views all along that interaction should ideally be to your discretion; if you feel like answering a particular comment or query then you should. Of course we are not here just for the yellow lines; we truly are here to share your brilliantly inspiring thoughts and wonderfully crafted words. And surely everyone would rather you relaxed in the little spare time you have than write out slips. If I have expressed grievances in the past it has been specifically content related, and each situation is different, but personally I love the workings of the genius mind in wider format and will always be ecstatically enamored with that! Thank you kindly for the overly generous compliment in yesterday’s slip. I’m convinced you were being ironic, but you are still very kind…

I do hope all the creative pursuits and other projects are coming along well. The big day for Rann is drawing rapidly near and excitement and nerves must be mounting for the entire team. You had left everyone reeling with your news debut, we are certainly ravenous to see you journalistic expertise in the future!

Incidentally, sources suggest you miss your 4 hour return drive to BB3 ‘so much’, you have signed for the next series as well!! Of course I refuse to believe it and will reserve comments until, or if you verify!

Back to work for me on this bitterly cold Monday. Just ten weeks until I head to holiday destination Goa and Mr Bachchan I really am counting the minutes!

Wishing you a lovely evening, I hope you are still relaxed and in wonderfully cheerful spirits.

Until another ‘DAY’I will leave you with…
My love and devotion and more

    Jasmine
    xx

    Dear Amitji,
At last, i reached Boston a while ago..Now will be here till June. My classes wil only start by Feb 1, but i am here early, since my parents had enrolled me for a three week special leadership classes that starts from 7th to 28th Jan.
I feel sad that i could not see you or even get a yellow line from you..but its ok..As you put it, you really try your best to satisfy all but then there is a limitation. i can understand that you are a very busy man, and there are so many like me waiting to get a response. It is not possible to satisfy all FmXt. better luck next time. Sometimes i feel, i should have opted to stay at The Address itself in Dubai. It was because of my freinds who were keen in staying at Mayfair only, that i missed the opportunity to be more nearer.
I do not know how regular i can be from now onwards, but surely i will try my best, as there is so much love and affection here, and moreso in a silent way i can feel your presence too. I will certainly not want to miss all these.
Have you ever been to this part of the world. Its famous for many schools and is a great centre of learning. I wish i had the power to describe like you. The charles river and many building make it a beautiful place.
    With luv n regards

We didn’t have any plans to go and see but was reading in all the Business Newsletters, i forced my hubby to go and see, all the restaurant, Cafes are fully booked, people were coming to check and you won’t believe there were 5 pages of Reservations diary, they were saying, if your no. comes we’ll call……for sure it could never come today……we had to stand for long, there was a huge crowd on the surroundings of Dubai Mall, Souk Al Bahar and Burj Park……we were actually tired of waiting….finally Sheikh Makhtoum arrived and innaugurated Burj, The Tallest Tower in the world……….it was very nice exp. all the pain of standing and waiting was gone to see that wonderful fireworks….

I had heard about your blog but did not get chance to read it untill today. I had written a letter to you when I was in school in1985 and you had replied to it with a One Liner “Concentrate in your studies, Dont concentrate in Movies”. I had taken your advice very seriously and never indulged in writting to any celebrity.

I am a Mechanical Engineer by profession. I am repeating what I had done 25 years back today by writting you again.

Wish you a very good healthy long life.

  383. rashmi bansal says:

    dear amit ji
i have seen “Paa” and found it awesome, however , I would like to suggest you some thing….. please ignore if you don’t like my suggestion.
Actually, inspite of being a good, happy and sweet picture many people are not inclined to watch it … as in their opinion this film must be filled with all pain, disease and tears… since the promos reflects only this . So they are preconceived in their views…. even I cannot satisfy most of my friends to go and watch it …. because they don’t want to spend their hard earned money in all “rona dhona”.
if you think fit then please introduce some scenes in promo related with AURRO playing with other kids, enjoying in class room, having fun with his paa, and all other humorous like scenes.
I just want that people should not miss such master piece.
    thanking you

Thanks for such a nice phrase.

    Have a nice time ahead.
