20 Days to PAA releasing December 4th, 2009
Jet lag be damned ! When a job has to be done it has to be done. At 5 am the city looks grey and sleepy. It is dark still. Winter for the Mumbaite is a pleasant summer morning from up North, but the woolies will come out, dressed up with the traditional balaclava that is commonly worn by the elder and that extra cup of tea and the hot ‘vada pau’. So the low visibility and the fog and the mist kept us company right the way through the somewhat empty streets - Mumbai is never empty - on to the highway and up the hills to Lonavala.
Tanaz went out and the husband and wife were given a treat of their lives by bringing on Zeus, their little son on to camera for them to see. There was no ‘integration’ today. A term used in their lingo for the film promotion sector with artists.
There was a briskness in the pace, despite the draining melatonin in the system and we ended up a little ahead of when we normally do, which was very welcome.
The drive to the location and back is a four hour journey. Going takes up all the time with the catching up of the news papers and rehearsing the scripts for the event. Coming back takes up all the time with the office paper work, a few sandwiches and wafers and a vibrating neck cushion to ease the rigors of the journey …
I am in ‘passing out mode’ nowwwwww annnddd, … wollluuld bbe grateful to be exxxcccuuussssseeeedd form any more writing for fear of putting down things that I may not be correct in doing ..
I beg your leave … my sorry’s for this quick exit.. but how about I meet you early tomorrow morning … yyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa good iiiiiiii idea sirji !!!!

Your blog is abig influence on many of us. All my previous blog comments I use to say Amitji, no point in fighting back with those journalists. But you did what you felt was right and that really helped me.
My niece had verbally abused me two years ago with all false accusations. And last two years I spent crying feeling powerless. Your blog taught me how to fight back. I know, I can’t face her physically and respond to her because she is very aggressive. She is studying journalism; her mother is a lawyer & mothers’ father a politician! I thought the best thing to do was to walk away. Then your blog gave me inspiration to write. I just finished sending her an email with all the facts. It may not make any difference to her but I have regained my power & my confidence.

It is against the rules of this great reality show . The open discussions about nominations and the resultant ouster of Tanaaz Irani is invalid. Amitji, nice to hear from you from Mumbai. After the long haul on the London to Mumbai trip you are then on a 4 hour journey each way is just incredible. your body surely needs rest and the vibrating neck support should help you into a slumber.

Hello Amitabh,
your blog today made me laugh out loud! Despite working in a busy training department, (today was so-o-o hectic) I just had to have a peek at the blog and see what you had to say today - you are actually very funny. I thought you were alllllways serious but I should know better than to go making assumptions. I am always quoting from the book “The 4 Agreements” (Don Miguel Ruiz) to my by now weary sons - and the third agreement is “Don’t make assumptions” so I should know better!
A four hour ride back to Lonavla and 4 hours back. Do they ever come running to your car selling the famous Lonavla “chikkis” candies (peanuts or nuts mixed with cooked sugar)? They were so yum, i remember going there often with my dad and mom (on his work trips). I remember driving in the clouds - I am confused if this was Lonavla or Khandala, it was so long ago.
Anyway, catch your rest and I must admit I am not watching Big Boss. I keep meaning to and every now and then one of the FMxT (please translate) will send in a link and I then take a look. It’s quite interesting and I should take some time out this weekend and watch it.

These vadas are prepared in unhygenic conditions and ingredients are also not of good quality. Your delicate system may not accept such eatables. Earlier also vadas had caused you problems. Instead of vadas you can have hot steamed iddlis and sambhar at Amby Valley–the location of Bigg Boss’s house.

I have come home after 7 days of torture and no excess to the blog. The course in Devon was intense and full of surprises. Lots of exercises, long walks, little food, more exercises. But it was an eye opener. How we take our body for granted and not look after it as we should. A well balanced routine really helps to keep the body fit and I have noticed it gives lots of energy.
I have managed to read the whole weeks stories and such a shame that you were here in London and we were in Devon, in a remote place trying to learn about healthy lifestyle. Our program was intense workout. 80% workout and 20% food. 17 of us took part and one of them was a lovely 70 year old lady, who participated in all the activities, and I mean ALL. There was a whistle at 5.30AM and we had to wake up and get ready and a reminder bell at ten to six to be in the exercise room for six. The workout was for 30min. and then a quick shower. Breakfast at 7.30AM which consisted of a small portion of porridge. A snack, an inch of a flapjack,( some days a few nuts and I mean a few ) and then to the most beautiful walks in Devon.A very challenging course. But I felt that if the lovely 70 year was making an effort without any moans or groans, I should try my level best and I did it. I survived the whole week with my hubby. We both feel very healthy with all the different work shops,i.e. pilates,yoga,dance and a lot more weight lifting as well. There were no phone signals and that was worrying. But everything is fine and I am pleased to get back to our FmXt. I have read most of the pages and so many of you have been lucky to have the FAMOUS YELLOW STRIP. I think Dear Sir had to choose the week I was away!!!!. Never mind, it was nice to read the stripes.
The function of the Tense machine is that it diverts the mind from the pain sensation to the electrical impulse thus it eases the pain. We sell a lot of them and we hire them to pregnant ladies for a certain amount of weeks. Better than taking too many pain killers.
I read that there was going to be a premier of PAA in London. It would be so nice for all of us to meet our Dear Sir and watch PAA with our PAA!!!!
But I guess it will only be for the lucky ones.(I am not loosing Hope!!!!)

Sorry sir missed today’s BB3 but will watch it tomorrow.
I have not watched earlier versions of Big Boss as it did not created any interest in me but this one’s compulsory as you are there. I watched every episode of BB3 in the begining but now my interest in it has dropped (due to various reasons) now i watch only on fridays and saturdays.
I want to ask you a question sir, What does this show is actually about? What is it giving to the society? I know that their are many more shows which are not giving anything to the society but I and many more like me don’t expect that from you. You have always been an idol for me and I feel positive energy in me when i watch or read about you but this show is totally about negative thoughts. So called celebrities out there in the show are always making dirty plans to get others out of the house. I dont know what to say but i don’t feel good when I see my legend in such atmosphere. Another thing I want to ask is (as many others in FmXt have asked), that their was a rule to not discuss nominations openly but that is being done every now and then by most of the housemates especially Vindu and Rohit, but nothing is being done to stop that. Hope you’ll throw some light on that. I apologise if have said anything offending.

Finally you are back as expected. My wife and I saw BB3 episode of Tanaz’s exit. We really admire her trust on herself, God and on her husband. Jeus must be pretty happy to see his mom back . We literraly had tears in our eyes while watching them seeing their son after such a long time. And what a pleasure to watch little sweet dude on screen?
Totally understandable you strugggling and wiggling with words. Not matter what ! ! the human body functions the same way all over the world and shuts down after sleep deprivation. Kindly sleep for at least 10-12 hours non stop and see how refresh it will make ya(debatable , I guess).

Oh yes, of course why not just come over in the morning when you are ready. In case I am still bathing and powdering the keys are in the flower bed on the front porch outside the door. Let yourself in and breakfast will be ready and waiting so I wouldn’t expect to be making any ‘quick exits’… and how was it you like to drink your tea again?!
A most sensible decision for once dearest Mr. Bachchan, jet lag may ‘be damned’, but it still exists and your poor unfortunate system is in dire need of rest and recuperation! You know even your brevity has a distinct charm about it, one can take a lot from that beautiful description of winter in Mumbai. Dense low lying mist in hotter climes is so scrumptiously dreamy especially against green and hilly settings, I can just picture it and melt into it. On the other hand, an empty Mumbai is impossible to imagine. Evidently everyone is still anticipating a visit from Cyclone Phyan ji which is a niggling worry for all concerned.
BB3 was a wonderful show today you were on remarkable form considering the fatigue I thought bright eyed, radiant and utterly charming as ever.
It appeared that Tanaz was ready to make her exit as soon as she saw cutie pie likkle juuicy Zeusy and you were so lovely, you made him send his mama a big flying kissy that was ohh.. SO CUTE!! Sorry, but it was adorable and at that moment I was willing the eviction to be for Tanaz and so was her husband apparently! That voice detection apparatus was very revealing. I suspected he would be more prone to untruths at ‘certain times’ under pressure and was particularly inept at it too! What transpired from his hesitation and his facial expression was the need to prove himself in the house as an autonomous figure. I think the quite male tendency to be competitive (remembering he is still fairly young) and win at all costs became his driving force this week. Now with his wife safely out of the picture and at home he need not worry about her or the child, he is perhaps less inhibited. No longer forced to play fairly or nicely as Tanaz has been willing him to do all along. I believe he will be a very different person this week!
Incidentally your opening lines struck me as thought provoking ‘Our thoughts become our actions…’etc. As a standalone statement that is very useful to remember and of course the wider relevance to the housemates fitted well too. Anyway we can discuss this over breakfast in the morrow….
Thank your for writing in spite of your arduous journey, I had not forgotten you had said it was two hours each way to Lonavala and add that to the mileage on the London trip and it is far too taxing for anyone! I do hope your neck is not causing discomfort again. The cushion is a good idea but I wish you would consider some regular hands on treatment to loosen the stiffness - it would make you feel like a new man - I am sure of it!

Amitji, I was struck by your description of early hours Mumbai, that quiet moment when the frenzied pace of the city has not yet been activated, but one knows it is in the offing. The deserted look (comparatively speaking) of a city is a kind of shock to the system — it seems to bear no resemblance to the “normal” city one lives in.
I had to take my son to the ER one night last week as he was very sick (it turned out he had had H1N1), and as we drove back home at 2 a.m. from the Princeton University Medical Center, it was an eerie feeling to see that lovely and lively city, throbbing with students each time one passes through it, completely still and not a single soul around. The main street did not have even one car parked on either side, and that seemed bizarre, as usually each spot is perenially taken up. My son and I were both struck by that deserted, almost unearthly look.
Mostly one sees that side of the city on the way to or from the airport, usually because of a late night or early morning flight, and it makes you go into a somber, thoughtful mood. I’m glad you put your long drive each way to some very productive use.

MF Husain’s obsession with Madhuri Dixit is well chronicled. But Amar Singh has one as well. He was so smitten by Jayaprada’s Dafli waale dafli baja number in the Hindi film Sargam that he went to Kolkata’s Janta cinema hall 20 times to see the movie. Amar’s brother Arvind, who recently joined the Congress, says he was dragged to the cinema hall seven times as well. That was then. When Amar Singh was a fan. Today, Jayaprada kowtows to him. He plots her career. The way he deals with Jayaprada offers an interesting insight into the man.
He broods, obsesses, and then overdoes things in an attempt to compensate. Like his relationship with Congress Rajya Sabha member Rajiv Shukla. When Shukla became an MP, Amar Singh celebrated by throwing a party in Delhi’s Ashok Hotel. They were thick then. Today, Amar Singh can’t stand the sight of Shukla. He calls him names, and has alleged that Shukla had a role in the tapping of his phone. Singh seems to be driven by revenge here to deal with a perceived slight.
Then there’s the story of his twin daughters being denied admission in Delhi’s Sanskriti School. The principal then is married to a powerful official in the government, and Singh has spent time targeting this official. If you spend enough time with Amar Singh, he will sooner or later refer to the hardships of early life. He calls himself a self-made man who inherited nothing from his family.
He says he worked hard in life and claims that he gets his money from a factory manufacturing organic chemicals. He also has a hydel plant in Karnataka. He’s been on the board of many companies like Indian (earlier Indian Airlines), State Bank of India, and the media company Hindustan Times Ltd. He is also a member of Delhi’s intellectual hub India International Centre though he is barely seen there.
Singh often cites his being on the board of government companies as proof that he is clean. The government does not appoint wheelers or dealers to such boards, he says. Many conversations with Singh are full of justifications that suggest he may be harbouring a martyr complex. It is possible that he feels persecuted, something that comes out strongly in the phone-tapping episode.
Here he is, a man who prides himself on his contacts across the world, who can dine with filmstars, deal with senior politicians, talk with international media barons, and conduct business with the country’s leading tycoons. Yet, when in trouble, Amar Singh pleads on television that his life should be spared because he doesn’t want his children to be orphaned or his wife widowed.
Under stress, he tends to lose control. In one of the television bites he compares himself to Mahatma Gandhi saying he is willing to be martyred as well for the sake of truth! This is a high level of grandiosity. It smacks of an infantile psyche fed on the belief that he can get what he wants when he wants it.
He once bailed Amitabh Bachchan out when the superstar was a pariah desperately needing many crores of rupees. It was an act of generosity that ought to have remained that way. But, people who have had private conversations with Amar Singh say, he tends to dismiss Bachchan as a man indebted to him for life.
Singh’s political journey began when he was 18, and enrolled into the Chhatra Parishad, a student wing of the Congress in Kolkata. Kolkata’s former mayor, and one time Congress trade union leader, Subroto Mukherjee was his first mentor. Singh likes to say he fought Naxalism in Kolkata under Mukherjee’s tutelage.
In Kolkata, Singh began to do liaison work for business tycoon KK Birla. This was where he developed a liking for fixing things for people. He slowly built a reputation as a man who could get things done, and he had a price for this. Working for Birla got him in touch with other Congressmen, primarily Madhavrao Scindia. The two hit it off, and Scindia got Singh elected as aicc member from Madhya Pradesh.
Scindia was named in the Jain hawala scandal, and he quit the Narasimha Rao cabinet. Scindia was refused a ticket from Gwalior and he formed his own party, Madhya Pradesh Vikas Congress. Singh says he was disillusioned with the Congress at this time, and joined Scindia’s outfit. Scindia soon returned to the Congress, but by then Amar Singh had got in touch with Mulayam Singh Yadav.
Though Singh is from Azamgarh from where Abu Salem also comes, he never mentions this part of his life. He lists Aligarh as his birthplace instead.

Your description of winter in Mumbai reminds me of a very funny incident when I moved to Chennai after 15 years of childhood in the north. It was december and mom sent me early morning to get the milk for the day and I noticed that in my street, all the ladies cleaning up the frontage of their homes in the morning were clothed in wollen scarfs and shawls whereas the temperature must have been 18 -20 degree celsius. I couldnt contain my curiosity and asked a by now familiar neighbour if there was an outbreak of some viral fever in the area. It was only then that I realised that ‘cold weather’ is only a relative term.

Tomorrow there is a very important match between Egypt and Algeria for the finals for world cup 2010…the atmosphere here in Egypt is charged with enthusiasm, competition, wishes and hope combined with anxiety and nervousness as well…
We all have been waiting for this day…but lately tension has been building up because of the competitive spirit between the two countries. But two very famous and prominent singers, Mohamed Mounir, who is the king of music in Egypt, and Shab Khaled, who is a very well known Algerian singer and who is loved in Egypt as well, organized a musical concert that was attended by thousands of Egyptian and Algerian audience and it was certainly a remarkable and an amazing move to help appease the stress and sooth the tension of the people of the two countries. I enjoyed this concert very much and I actually remembered when you were talking about your lending your vice for the song ‘Mile sur mera tumhara’. The cause is certainly different, but the concept of trying to convey a certain message through music and art is still the same.
I hope and wish and pray for the victory of my country…I will indeed be so sad if we loose. But in sports nothing is ever granted, and we will be all on edge tomorrow…

Good Morning Dear Amitji, Sleep is very very important to be good at using time effectively during the day. So your excuse is very very valid one and after a long Jet Legged sorry lagged journey from Mumbai to London to Mumbai and then to aati kya Khandala sorry Lonavala must have been real hectic. Hope the philosopher in you was awake to give a warm send off to the eliminated Lady Tanaz on the Bigg Boss show. How happy she must have been to meet her son and equally happy to be away from husbanding of 24 hoursxso many days.
My wife cannot tolerate me for more than one weekend at home 24hours because it disturbs her routines and her work remains unattended. So I can imagine the full time living together of people in BB3 like situation is a real test of temperament. Ofcourse winning is also a motivation to endure hardships.
Vada Pau and hot tea is a good combination in this season. I would still like to trace the time when Pav got added to batata wada. Also when Pav got added to bhaaji and became Pav-Bhaaji of Mumbai fame. Wada Pav is poor man’s Burger.
Hope you are relaxed with Paa responses and anticipation buildup before the release. Trailor or Promo are also like sampling the product.

I am impressed again with your endurance. I can not recover from jet lag for several days. In India, enjoying my time and then back home. Weather is very nice but the burning of the left overs from the rice harvest in the fields is really makes it difficult to breathe at times. I always enjoy the rural areas more than the cities but I have never been down this time of year before. India still has it’s own beautiful flavour. I watch in amazement on how India functions but everyone seems to understand the pace and things move along. I have yet to meet someone who tells me something can not be done, (it could be anything) No one will say no to you or that it is inconvienant. Amazing, truly amazing.

My suggestion is you should seriously consider taking a helicopter down to Lonnavala and back, it would save you a lot of time. Especially with the hectic schedule. I think spending a couple of crores on yourself is no harm, when so much is spent in the hospital visits (i know you have a medical insurance too

Today is the Children’s Day, the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, the great visionary and architect of modern India . The Children Park adjacent to the towering INDIA GATE in Delhi is being decorated with colourful balloons right from the early morning. Music system is being fixed in the open lawns of the Park. Children are going to perform there from 10 AM onwards. I am preparing to go with my grandson to enjoy the function. My grandson LAKSHYA is preparing to recite a poem, if got a chance. COULD YOU KINDLY WISH HIM GOOD LUCK PLEASE………PLEASE?
Hope you also participate in the some event for children today. As you have mentioned many times, it is pleasure to be with children. Most deprived children in India need support of the society and this day invites us to care for such children.
The joy and surprise at the faces of Mr Bakhytar and Tanaaz Irani was a joy for all. The little one seemed to be in awe, impossible to understand what was happening at that moment. The child and his parents will never forget the moment when the child was in your careful lap and visible on screen to the crores of people.
Saw two films recently BHAROSA and MERI SOORAT TERI ANKHEN. Both have rich melody and moving stories. I felt as if I had entered into that golden era when music was at its best. My salute to the creators of those classic creations.

You were as usual brilliant in yesterdays show of BB3, I really like Vada-pau and I got a chance to have when I came to Mumbai in the month of june this year…Luckily I got chance to come there 2 times…first was in feb and second time its june…..and How lucky I am that I am also coming next month to Mumbai and Pune…then I will surely get a chance…Not only for Vada-Pau but to understand Mumbai also….bcoz I think that I have to settle down there within a 1 or 2 years..Lonavala is really a beautiful place….I still remember those days when I travelled in Mumbai-Pune national highway….

The music release got shifted a couple of days, was it because of your short stay in London? Hope the short post helped with reviving that drained out energy. A post in the morning or right about around now sometime, sounds great. Let us see how the thoughts differ at night from the day when the brain is at its optimum functionality for some. There have been observations of changes in content and thought shifting from one location to another. Do we expect to see the same in different times of the day? Either way any post is always fantastic.

Yesterday I had the most pleasant time with my friend’s children, picked them up from school, then we got pizza ‘to go’ and had it for dinner watching cartoons. Then I was lectured on civil aircraft and jet engines with the demonstration of airplane cool models and pictures and in great detail : ) by the elder boy. He surely found a grateful listener in me and spoke with great inspiration : ) … Then they obediently went to bed at appointed time - nice darlings ! Love them..
On my way home I was slashing through the thick fog driving on a curvy highway and it was very very dark.. That I would call - unpleasant drive …
I am glad I did not miss my turns and finally got home..

एक बेटी का आग्रह था कि पिता वर्षा न होने की प्रार्थना करे और दूसरी का इसके विपरीत कि बरसात न हो। पिता बडी उलझन में पड गया। एक के लिए प्रार्थना करे तो दूसरी का नुक्सान। समाधान क्या हो ?
पिता ने बहुत सोचा और पुनः अपनी पुत्रियों से मिला। उसने बडी बेटी को समझाया कि यदि इस बार वर्षा नहीं हुई तो तुम अपने लाभ का आधा हिस्सा अपनी छोटी बहन को देना। और छोटी बेटी को मिलकर समझाया कि यदि इस बार खूब वर्षा हुई तो तुम अपने लाभ का आधा हिस्सा अपनी बडी बहन को देना।

i am missing the “VADA PAU” and cutting TEA of mumbai tea shop .you have pull me again mumbai by my thought with name of “VADAPAU”…thank you …ha.
in 1999 we came at mumbai for the admission in J.J. Art collage for masters,that time we were four friend was stay at j.j. hostel in guest room,Bandra,(w)its near the house of “THAKARE SAHAB” we had stay there for 15th days and every morning we went to J.J.school of art by lockal train for know the right information of interview date of masters, in that cash we eat the VAD PAU and TEA and we walk on the road of mumbai.but j.j. school of art had not out the result of B.F.A. final year and with out B.F.A. final result they can’t take the interview of master’s, we were complitly pack there in j.j.collage to j.j hostel…ha
but “VADA PAU” and TEA was our energy tool there on the road.no home no good food no right way for the target .after 15th days we came back at home because our pocket was getting the empty after saving much more. one time we were taken food two VADA PAU and one cutting tea and in evening time we were eat food at j.j.hostel in 15th Rs…only..but we were live there with a hope of admission at J.J. Collage of art. by luck that time rain was very much in rajarhan, so train was late 12 houres and i came at home then i received a interview call by teligram letter from j.j.school of art.i was lough very much on my time because the intreview date was next day and train was 12th houre late.i missed that chance by my time here i want to share with you that teligram letter copy of J.J. collage of art interview call letter…ha

I am a soilder who is totally inspired by your humbulness. I just dont understand how you are coping with humbelness in glamour entertainment industry with such a dignity,to the extent that “people” are trying to dethrone you and are still very envious to you though they are “kings” in their domain yet they cant match the “mahanayak”till date. people still getting insecure with your presence in film industry is an indication of who is the “shahenshah” of films thogh in an NDTV ceremony last year Rajnikant said that individual who is shahenshah of this industry.
I just finished watching BiggBoss and had a revelation that this is what I should do next. Everyone was saying one door closes and another one opens so the one opening is now the BiggBoss house. That way I can talk to you every week and improve my Hindi also. I wonder if they will allow my 5 cats in there.
Tonight was the Sons of the Desert meeting where they showed ‘Swiss Miss’. I learned that they started to shoot it in color or at least there were tests done in color for that film. There was also a rare 1930’s original print of the 1924 silent ‘Our Gang’ called “The Sun Down Limited” along with a 1933 Hal Roach short called ‘Thundering Taxis’. A tribute to the late Soupy Sales was performed using 2 of his puppets.

The readings of your blog are heartening always ! However, this is the first time I am writing to you, I hope you will have time to see this and may be write in, I am not sure whether you will have that much time.
I adored you since 70s, when I was in school, your acting style, your voice, your walk, your run (particularly Deewar and Don), everything about you is special not forgetting your impaccable dressing style (only time I didnt appreciate was that red dress you wore on Big Boss episode), impaccable speech, irrespective of it being Hindi or English. You are still so much in demand and so much busy and active, in my opinion you are the best thing to happen to Hindi Film Industry. (I am not saying bollywood, I know you dont like that word). Meanwhile, your walk in Big Boss to the stage and back to exit is still a treat to watch.
Your presence on any show has brought it to a different level alltogether and so has the Big Boss. I have missed some episodes of season I and season II, but not season III, simply because of Mr. Bachchan.
Yesterday, your narrating the dialogues of ‘Agneepath’ was spell bound and so are all your recitations. Please try to add some relevant dialogues of your films like yesterday and some poetry from Madhushala.
I have a dream, of meeting you once in my lifetime. I dont know if it is asking for too much, but its my dream and I had to express. Rest is upto you.

near the house of “THAKARE SAHAB” we had stay there for 15th days and every morning we went to J.J.school of art by lockal train for know the right information of interview date of masters, in that case we eat the VAD PAU and TEA and we walk on the road of mumbai.but j.j. school of art had not out the result of B.F.A. final year and with out B.F.A. final result they can’t take the interview of master’s, we were complitly pack there in j.j.collage to j.j hostel…ha
but “VADA PAU” and TEA was our energy tool there on the road.no home no good food no right way for the target .after 15th days we came back at home because our pocket was getting the empty after saving much more. one time we were taken food two VADA PAU and one cutting tea and in evening time we were eat food at j.j.hostel in 15th Rs…only..but we were live there with a hope of admission at J.J. Collage of art. by luck that time rain was very much in rajarhan, so train was late 12 houres and i came at home then i received a interview call by teligram letter from j.j.school of art.i was lough very much on my time because the intreview date was next day and train was 12th houre late.i missed that chance by my time here i want to share with you that teligram letter copy of J.J. collage of art interview call letter…ha

This is the first time I am watching BiggBoss and am hooked to it. Probably lot more goes on in the house than we get to see because it is 45 min of exposure from the 24 hours, so our opinions may not be accurate. However, I wanted to say that I am very happy that Tanaz was evicted and hope she does not get re-entry in the house. It is cruel of her to abandon her infant child just to make money, since her husband is anyway going on the show, she should have stayed back. Also, she was calling bad names such “bl**dy firangi” etc many times and expects that no one should bad mouth her. Shamita and Aditi have no personality of their own and are trying to ride of the Irani couple.
Vindoo may be wrong in openly discussing nominations but he is the true person by far in the house. He is the only one who openly told Ismail that he nominated him when there was no need to reveal. Also, when Parvesh asked him his opinion instead of lying he told him in a nice way that his ego and attitude are slight problems even though that could cause bad blood between them.
Also, Bhaktiyar made such a issue about treating women well and he knows he is on national TV and still shows finger and gives “gaali” to his wife and does dramabazi that he will leave her etc, when we all know that is not true. Tanaz shouting like a fisherwoman that she and Bhaktiyar made different nominations is staged, because they plannned that too. Earlier weeks they always gave same nominations.
Poonam is genuine, so is Raju. Claudia is not too bad. Kambli is wrong entry in the house, and Parvesh is scheming since he watched bioggboss on TV for weeks before entering there. Also, I think open nominations add all the spice needed in the house. Please suggest to Biggboss to continue that. As always you r presence tops everything else and if not for you, I would not watch this show at all.

For Children’s Day, Balki will release a number of messages from Big B in the voice of Auro for kids all over the world. In “Paa”, Amitabh Bachchan plays the character of Auro, who has a rare genetic defect that causes accelerated ageing.
Balki said Amitabh won’t appear in person for any of the promotional activities of “Paa”.
“We’ll only be hearing him talk about the film in the voice of Auro in all the campaigns. He won’t be seen in person anywhere,” the director said.

Y’day’s ep on BB3 was how a Friday episode should be but wasn’t. So far, looed like they didn’t know how to maximise your participation - imagine a man of your stature coming on a voyeuristic show in the first place and then adding nothing to it beyond a catchy tag Pop Philosopher?? However, y’day’s was not as manipulative as Ismail’s scripted mean ouster. Even the emotions looked real And in a reality show, it is the perception that matters. Obviously, the kid was a ploy but the parents’ reactions were real so it made for watchable viewing. Also to be frank, there aren’t any other good reality shows right now competing for attention. One is not trying to diminish your presence in any way BUT YES, A GREAT MANY PPL FEEL THAT COLOURS IS DOING THIS SEASON’S BB3 VERY BADLY. If it weren’t for you, nobody would see a single ep. As it is, its TRP is barely above 1 trp.
I have to admit that we must learn from you the success of mind over matter, of will overcoming worry, of enthu creating energy. There is so much that is good….and so much that disappoints too. The extraordinariness does not allow us to ignore you ….yet can one be such a blind fan as to ignore the childish I, me, myself self-imprisonment? I have not found an answer to that riddle as yet therefore am still here…

And by the way, when are you planning to release the music of Paa. The official website says 12th November but I don’t think that that has materialized. Bigg Boss started with 13 inmates. We are almost halfway and still there are 10 members in the house. Not fair. It should have been about 7-8 people around this time. Also, not fair for members to join after 5 weeks. They have seen and heard everybody and are having a very big advantage over others. Also only an edited/selected (enacted as per script ?) part of about 48 minutes(out of 24 hours-that too mostly like in one corner of the house)is shown. Looks like this is only a money making gimmick.Then where is the credibility about the show ??? It pains to see you associating with such programme.

kitna farak hai, north ki thand aur lonawaley key haiway ki dhundh ka, one wont goes until u cover fully and one goes by simple shawl, cup of tea and garama gram wada pao.
The difference is like,

good to see u again in town, tanaaz had to go just not because team was against her it was due to their excessive grabbing nature toward the BB title.
They (tannaz and bakhtiar) had thought that the people around them are lower in category :-/, poonam ji old star, vindu lesser known, raju small time actor, rohit,sherlin,krk are not known people, darbar ji not active participent, aditi and sharmita are their family members, so as per their wish the wind was flowing in their direction, KRK and sherlin dropped due to their immense efforts…………………………………
But it is BB ka ghar………rohit got the sense, he pinched Vindu and this punjab da putter with Raju chacha changed whole concept, thanks to poonam ji, as elder sister she supported team, but one thing which didnot happened accordingly it was instead of tanaaz darbar sahib has to go……..hota hota hai TRP bhi to honi chahiyey………..atleast the interest extended for one week.

No, not Jet Airways, this one is new, it has just been launched…it is called FmXt Airways!! This is how it works..all the guys in this EF have been allocated the task of Airport Duties, check-ins and leading you up to the stairs as you board the aircraft. This is where their duties will end!! Then the FmXt ladies take over as the air-hostesses!! I am going to be driving the pla…sorry flying the plane…somebody please tell me first where the cockpit is situated!!! It has been decided that VALORIE is going to be the team leader and see to your every possible comfort. Don’t worry there will also be those with blankets and whispers and to offer you support in case of air-turbulence. Enjoy the flight. You are in safe hands!!

Finally got to see Nishabd. I wonder why it got such bad reviews…..I thought it was a well directed movie focusing on human weaknesses and emotions and you did such a good job portraying the pain and internal conflict. The opening scene I thought was the highlight where your eyes reflected the conflict and I thought the best shot of the movie was when Revathi’s picture in the background was brought into focus while you were having the internal conflict. Great shot! Photography was great, a teaching tool for future DOP…..but as an actor it must be so hard when you have the camera so focused on you while portraying the emotions. No wonder you are Mr. Ram Gopal Varma’s favorite. Really liked the movie…..thanks

You might be used to such appreciations praising u. Praising Amitabh Bachchan has now become like writing about God.. YOU USE THE ENTIRE WATER PRESENT ON THE EARTH AS ink AND ALL THE LEAVES PRESENT ON THE EARTH AS paper, THE STATIONARY WILL BE LESS TO WRITE ABOUT YOUR GLORY.
As this is my first msg to you, I wish to comment on you regularly. But at the same time, I wish to ask you a question.. “How do you find time to write on the daily basis ” .. at such an age, in such busy schedule, where your family will also require some time of urs as one in his daily routine would nearly miss such activity?

Pop Philosopher 2 #318: I am glad your dear friend Amitabh Zibbu is well and sends messages through you, and also that he reads the blog and deciphered the code (Hey Manish — that was a good quiz: really made all of us think hard!) and you posted it here on his behalf. Please tell him that one should not be discouraged by what others say. One’s own karma should be good. Also, we must try and be positive and respectful of everyone here and learn to get along, despite our differences of opinion — no point blaming others. It can be hard sometimes, especially if you are being provoked or malicious things are being said about you (I was a victim of this recently), but that is the ideal one can strive for. If the reference in your comment is to Abhaya, who was affectionately called the Dean of the blog school by a lot of us, I do want to say that I have been very sad to see Abhaya leave. He is a very nice, caring, affectionate, knowledgeable, positive man and is always respectful towards everyone. I am hoping he will return to the blog. I enjoyed reading his cricket commentaries and songs, and I miss his input here.

I have been your fan since 28 years. When i moved to the US in 1998 for completion of my studies there were a lot of things I missed about bby and one of them was watching Amitabh movies. Whenever I went back home for holidays I would try to get VCD,s ( since DVDS not that popular) of my amitabh movies that I grew u with ( Toofan - aaya aaya toofan, Ajooba and even Main Azad Hoon). I remember the days I would keep going to Rythm House in bby to find out about the release of your audio ABY BABY with Bally Sagoo. Memories!!
Even watching Khuda Gawah on the first row…
Honestly for the past two years I was really dissapointed with your choice of roles and was hurt that my all time fav. actor is losing his charm. You have proved me wrong. This new innocent look has brought in me the thrills that I used to get as kid before the movie. I cannot tell you, I keep on watching the previews of the movie several times a day and even share them with my family members. They think I have lost it at times when I repeatedly mention about the movie…
