27 Days to PAA
When the heart takes over the mind. When a rush of emotion penetrates the being. When a warmth pervades the flush on our skin. When dew shaped invisible capsules begin to swell under the eyes. When the hair tingles upon the arms and wrists. When words fail to form. Then can we safely say that we have been overtaken by emotion.
Failure, negativity, obtuse comment, wrongful accusation, suffering physicality, mental and real, anger and distress, frustration and anxiety and all possible manifestations of disruption and dislike, all pale in this uncontrollable feel of emotion.
And today, as I prepare to leave for the MAMI Film Fest event at the JW Marriott to receive their acknowledgement of a Lifetime Achievement Award, I cannot rid myself of acknowledging first, the outpouring of love and affection by the media within the past day.
The unveiling of the look for ‘PAA’ and the subsequent launch formally, of the promo took place last evening by Abhishek and the messages of praise have not stopped.
I dedicate this DAY to them - the media, for their spontaneous outpouring of affection and love and encouragement and thank them personally for giving us the strength in this venture, to believe in ourselves and in the conviction that we set, before embarking on this ambitious project.
The applause that you, my friends in the media, gave on the first projection and the subsequent times that you requested for the promo to be replayed, has been unprecedented. I have never ever received so many messages on any of my films by the media ever and I care not if it invades their privacy today, but I must let my little world of the FmXt know what you expressed.
If this is a transgression may it be so, but I must give it, its due.

After a long time, I’m waiting for a movie release. More than a decade that I’d been to a cinema. The promo simply lured me….
It is after Black, that I wish to watch a movie in full.
Saw the promo yesterday, and showed it to all my family members. Everyone loved it. After many years there is a movie for which I am sure everyone is waiting like anything. I seriously want this whole month to just pass by in a blink of an eye. I read somewhere that Paa is releasing world wide on 4th. Will it release in USA also on 4th? Please do let me know.

Did Aishwarya go last year to accept the MAMI on behalf of Jayaji ? I remember seeing it in the media and was the first time I had heard of an award called MAMI. The media gets it right for once shock horror! Astounding
And it’ s been such a joy to see the the overwhelming warmth and excited anticipation for Paa on the Blog.
But today I am fretting about the film’s subtitles. Judging by the responses on the Blog alone, this film is bound to appeal very strongly to NRIs and your admirers throughout the Western world.
Visually, aesthetically, technically, emotionally, artistically, musically and above all in the performances … everything about the film looks set to be a triumph… every aspect we have seen in the trailers seems to be exquisitely judged.
I’m sure you have this covered already, but just in case…. PLEASE make sure your director and producer extend that same care and refinement to the very final detail.. those subtitles.
Nothing breaks the mood more quiickly than to read your sublime dialogue rendered into something that sounds like gibberish, or very clumsy ‘translationese’. Time and money spent on ensuring the English is fluent and colloquial will NOT be wasted.
And a final plea - put the lettering on a strip of subtle grey background, so they can be READ, rather than disappearing every time they are laid over a very light shot. It drives me insane when this happens, and it is SO easy to prevent.
Okay, film making lecture over, but I just passionately want everything about PAA to be PERFECT.

Life time achievement award?! is it for compltion of 40 yrs. in Film Industry or are they planning to retire you!? i believe it should be given to you after releasing PAA. Probably that could be proved your Best performance ever.(seems so from the promo)
BTW aren’t you too overgrown for the role of progeric Child? in that Hutchinson - Gilford Syndrome ,which is a rare condition, due to mutation of genes physical growth is stunted.an adult of age 18 looks like a Child of 6 - 7 yrs. because of short stature. however skin is wilted like old man ,Macrocephaly with Baldness but small jaw & croocked teeth or loss/absence of teeth & aetherosclerosis takes place so veins pop out which pressurise eyeballs too - which you got all in that movie with make up very nicely.
Hope this movie would be able to draw mass attention towards ppl suffering from such rare condition and try to be helpful to those.

I saw the promo of PAA and i can say that sir ji you are going to make an History in the Indian cinema. if all the text and sound is removed from the video then i bet no one can recognize AURA. couple of month back i saw first look of PAA in some news channel, but they didn’t disclose the name, after a lot of struggle with my mind i give up and finally got to know that this is my Loveable SIR ji.

i just saw the promos if your new film “PAA”! really its seems to be an awsome movie! i have been a science student and in my 12th i did a project on “PROGERIA”-a rae genetic disorder in which symptoms resembling aspects of aging are manifested at an early age! infact i did a case study of a girl living in US who too suffered from it! i can feel how difficult it would have been for you to do this kind of a role! its really too difficult for a child suffering from this disease to live in a competitive world like this! i appreciate abhishek and vidya to come frwd to take the initiative to tell people how beautiful and struggling it could be for parents of such special children! i praise ur director balki! he has done a fabulous job! and please abhishek promote this film as much as u can…it deserves it coz its a masterpiece which are rarely made nowdays! With so many upsetting news, global recession, job cuts, losses, surely do not want to see a sad movie, no matter who is associated with it or how high the stakes are.

Still, being one of your greatest fan, can’t stop my emotions and so would like to just say, the looks STUNNING and the promo does strike the right cord.

Dear Amitji, Good Evening. Back from my Thursday evening filter coffee trip wanted to see if any comments are posted after mine comment#342 in 562 blog. Saw your new post and the feedbacks you got from the Media are very impressive. Why not; everyone likes a good effort even if it may be from our staunch opponent. When a new bar of standard is set everybody’s work improves in future. The new bench mark of hardwork toil and sweat along with deep rooted experience as well as deep thought provoking subject treatment needs applause. Rather it merits applause and I am sure these will continue till many many awards nights in future.
I always believe in simplicity of effort but deep rooted thought process leeds to something marvelous for others to emulate. One should dedicate such efforts to the peers who gave us our knowledge and experience. Our wisdom from years of learning a subject is displayed through such path breaking efforts like you did for Paa’s Auro role. The research the acclimatisation the adaption and the immersing and all absorbing effort of the actor is important ingradient of success. Your success involves success of many who teamed together. The sum total becomes a synergy much more than individual contributions. That is what needs to be appreciated while viewing Paa.
I am happy that at such a matured age you proved yet again that you can climb yet another peak and capture a pinnacle. You can become a child and act like one amongst many. You may have a fan club now under 13 years of age and millions will become members. A special child’s life brought alive in a performance by a man who defeated age with experience. Hardships with dedication. Long hours with hunger for success. Who awoke whole nights to see the morning sun with his new make up. What the new generations need to learn from you is one most important ingradient of success is TIME given for the efforts to fructify. The pain of bearing must be over for you and a new hope of emotion must have taken over as you mentioned. Sure AB is no fluke but dedication personified. I recall you saying in the blog a couple of months ago that your best was yet to come. You were being prophetic — you knew something we didn’t — PAA.
You sound so genuinely moved by the adulation of the media. After the conflict-ridden relationship spanning decades, this must be a truly special moment indeed. What else can they do — faced by the brilliance of your performance, do they have the option to ignore it?
Yet, why do I hear a nagging voice in a corner of my mind saying the media is a fickle mistress: with you in your moment of glory, gone yesterday and tomorrow. I am generally a huge optimist, but knowing how the media has played sinful games with you in the past, my joy is a suppressed. My heart twanged on noticing that there was no mention of the outpour of love and credit extended towards you by so many who wrote after you put the promo of PAA. All day long, each time I switched my PC on, I jumped for joy seeing the number of comments scaling unendlessly. I have absolutely no doubt that this will just rock the box office across the world. And I have a question for you, my sense says that this should qualify for the Guinness & Limca book of records. I just went numb after watching promos of Paa, than watched it again and again and than called my wife and daughters and mother and showed them.
Last night got up around 2:30 am to go to the washroom and found myself turning on the computer and watching it again.
Who am I? I am sure even Jaaved Akhtar who is so good with words will not be able to explain the feeling it generates in one’s heart.

4th December, 2009 the world will come to a halt, courtesy you and Auro.
One of the great things I detect in these promos is that rather than get obsessed with the ‘realism’ of the subject (acceptable in its own right but always leads to a lesser film) the director has used the progeria angle not just to create a unique father-son relationship (with both diegetic and non-diegetic aspects as the ‘father-son-son-father’ tag makes explicit) but to also render it a fairy tale or fable at the same time with your lovable giant character. I have seen the trailer very many times. I mentioned earlier that it was rather addictive. But it eventually struck me that the character created for you and also by you is also one that I would expect to find in a fairy-tale. Equally importantly Balki seems to have given the whole story a nicely lyrical quality which even in these brief snippets seems to go well with that fairy-tale quality I see in it. Aamir had some of this in TZP as well. The whole dyslexia element in that film too was vastly overrated. Not that this element wasn’t at the heart of the narrative but it wasn’t the ‘point’ of the film which was ultimately a naturalistic tale about childhood and imagining (which is why the first half was in some ways the stronger one as well). Getting back to Paa it seems entirely charming in the previews and I should say your character entrances one instantly in every sense. In no small part owing to what you have created here in terms of performance, which in turn for this sort of character buried under layers of prosthetics owes far more to body language and gesture. Of course not that this ought to be surprising to anyone! And I should also say a bit smugly here that I always have problems with some of your other outings precisely because I know you are capable of these little miracles (greater miracles are ‘godly’.. little miracles are what great actors come up with… when the star is also an event much like yourself, especially so in the 70s, the two dimensions merged!). Of the kind currently being exhibited in Paa. Now wouldn’t I be guilty of bad taste if I cheered everything equally? I hasten to add that I am not accusing you of bad taste in signing onto some of those films. Just a good heart!
But this is the sort of deal that restores that excitement always associated with your signature. I hope that going forward you will not do less than this. Every film cannot be a Paa of course but it ought to at least contain a role commensurate with your talents and your history and your continuing relevance. We still abide very much in the arc created by your name and signature.. hopefully you will keep extending that shadow with outings such as Paa (which is not to argue for prosthetics at every point!)..
Lastly Abhishek deserves a word here. It is rather obvious from the title, tag line and the outline of the plot that he will have as much footage here as yourself. But the fact that these promos focus on your character more or less (which is commercially pragmatic but also wise inasmuch as your character is really the point of the film) is in addition to everything else also a gesture of great generosity on his part. Even if it’s to the father stars do not like playing second fiddle at all, specially in films where they are very important and part of the title role (who’s Paa here?!). It has always been moving to see Abhishek display such magnanimity and emotion when it comes to your career and legacy (even if to be true to it one must also sometimes make decisions harder than those pure sincerity or filial responsibility could summon up on its own) but Paa is a great example of this. When coupled with the fact that he (as he’s confessed) was instrumental in making this subject a home production and also the extent to which Balki had credited him with being producer here in a very ‘hands-on’ sense I think that Paa is a great gift to you from him. That the diegetic and the non-diegetic should be enmeshed here so wholly is therefore appropriate in this sense as well.

I am afraid that i will not be able to watch ‘Paa’ in theatre..i dont like crying in front of so many people even if everybody else is also crying (dis happened when i saw Black, a sardarji sitting next to me was crying and so was everybody else in the theatre, i guess)….if the promo alone can bring tears into my eyes wat will be the whole movie’s effect….it will drain me emotionally and completely so its better to watch it alone, when the dvd releases….

There are many forms of premature aging. As of 1978,162 syndromes with different manifestations and degrees of severity had been recorded. None of them exhibit all the symptoms of normal aging.
Hutchinson-Guilford Progeria Syndrome (HGPS) is most likely the cause of Auro’s affliction. It closely resembles the features of normal aging, has an early onset and leads to a mean lifespan of about 13 years. In real life these children do not grow tall.
HGPS is caused by a mutation in the gene called LMNA. The LMNA gene produces the Lamin A protein, which interacts with many other proteins in the cell’s nucleus. In this way one altered protein can disrupt multiple functions.
Mutations in Lamin A affect maintaining the integrity and shape of the nuclear envelope as well as regulation of transcription, DNA replication, cell-cycle control and cellular differentiation.
In other words, the nucleus, the repository of the cell’s genetic blueprint and the center of most information processing, is messed up in a major way, leading to Auro’s symptoms and his reduced lifespan.
Identifying the gene responsible for the disease has led to improved diagnosis of the disease, but not yet to a cure.

Satyam #153 and 192, thanks for the links. The posters on your website are really wonderful. I was struck by their clarity. It was a treat to hear Balki talk about the film, and I’m glad he clarifies that the focus of PAA is not progeria — it is the normalcy of the child who has progeria.
I believe that a good story, well-acted and well-directed (I think you will add well-marketed) will make a good film. It begins with a story. That was the strenght of all Hrishikesh Mukherjee films. And the story of PAA seems to be original and moving. Plus it is a casting coup. As Balki says, the film was written with AB, Abhishek and Vidya in mind, and would not have been made without them.

PAA seems to be a copy or ‘inspired’ by benjamin button!!!! I still dont understand WHY Indian movies so often are inspired by Hollywood films?? You have thousands of intelligent creative people in the Indian film industry, still inspiration so often comes from Hollywood. Not a big fan of this strategy.
I know your role must be absolutely fabulous, but sorry not paying for the big screen. Will wait till it comes out on DVD. Will watch it to see your role, but I already know the story line.
I feel sorry for myself because I was really looking forward to PAA. Now I’ll just have to wait for TEEN PATI, which I read somewhere is ‘inspired’ by another movie, but I’ve seen benjamin button and cant watch another one so soon.

Satyam 174 - I could not agree more with the things you describe in Abhishek - both his acting talent but also his amazing love and admiration and support for his father - wonderfully summed up in your phrase “magnanimity and emotion”.
I was lucky enough to interview Abhishek once for a Western media outlet I shall not name, despite my fury at the way they butchered the interview. I was just floored by Abhishek’s love towards his father and the extraordinarily perceptive and generous way he spoke of him. And I have to believe it was utterly sincere and heartfelt.. if not, then Abhishek truly is the greatest actor in the world!
Hardly any of that interview ever saw the light of day… I guess if Abhishek had criticised his father than THAT would have been a huge ’story’.
(And excuse my slight cynicism over the media outpouring today… what’s that old saying ‘everyone loves a winner’.. and suddenly you have a whole lot of fair weather friends.. who will turn on you with equal rapidity the next day).
Anyway I was always distraught that so much of that lovely interview never appeared, and sent the recording and transcript to Mr Bachchan, just in case he one day had time to see it. But no matter if he didn’t.. he most certainly doesn’t need any proof of his son’s extraordinary devotion…. and talent.

But as a Doctor i just figured out something and i am penning it down to you:
‘Paa’ deals with ‘Hutchinson–Gilford Progeria syndrome’: extemely rare, severe, genetic condition due to point mutation leading to accelerated aging with 98.7% survive till age of 13 years.. also short stature, joint dislocations, etc major part of it.. But Amit Sir, you in the film are shown dancing, 6ft tall, at 13 years of age.. is it not something that the movie team should take care off..!?

Perhaps I am just mis-reading your comments. Maybe you are just sharing your thoughts/general feelings/feedback from wellwishers on the movie here, though somehow, I cant shake off the uneasy feeling that an essentially non-commercial blog site is being used to further the cause of a commercial venture. Having grown to respect and admire the modest and self-effacing manner in which you brush off any praise from people and keep things in perspective so to speak, I found it a bit wierd and dare i say, tad disappointed to see you put comments praising yourself on the blog. Not that you are not entitled to do so, its your prerogative and your fully deserve too, but just making a mention of this since it somehow seems to go against the Amitabh Bachchan that I hav grown to respect and admire via this blog.
I apologize if this was an overreaction on my part, but just wanted to let you know how i felt.

This is a BIG fan of Big & Small B. Saw the outstanding promo of Paa and hats off to all of you for putting it up so amazingly. Meanwhile I noticed something weird in the dialogue promo. The voice ”Paa” by Auro before Abhi says ”Hey.. whats up? what you doing?” did not come natural to my ears. Your voice is probably modified to give effect to Auro’s voice but it sounded as if it is computerized. It might have to do with the role of Auro in the film but as an ardent fan, I was concerned to bring this to your attention.

Just seen a few pictures of you and lovely Preity Zinta who I imagine presented your Lifetime Achievement Award tonight. You were positively beaming with glee stood on that stage - which is surprising, you having many similar awards already. A lesser person would become complacent by now, but your sweet humility is totally unremitting!
On closer reading of the above, the feedback doesn’t appear as professional messages from ‘the media’ would. These are quite personal in tone and content. By and large the individual appreciates you, we have established that from the likes of Jitesh Pillai, Arnab Goswami and you know even Abhijit Majumdar expressed he was a fan of the ‘actor’. The problems arise in the professional capacity when they write their articles, or produce their interviews for optimum coverage and the best scoop of the day. Arguably its the nature of business, the lack of conscience and ethics in the media as a body which is the enemy and not the individual…. Well, we hope so anyway! Accept the rough with smooth Mr. Bachchan, perhaps it’s the only choice you have in your position! I just want to point out that in the video clip from yesterday’s first look, the director admitted that he took artistic license with the disease. He also said that the film doesn’t focus on the disease but on the child’s normalcy despite having it.

i made the same valid point (post # 40) and asked AB the Q that how could he pass for that role. but its his production & besides common man doesn’t have knowledge of such thing. all they would see will be AB doing a deformed child’s role (with all prosthetics )at this age and another attraction would be his own Son in real life is playing his Father’s role in this movie. they have played a very smart,intelligent & safe Game doing this it seems. (Killing God knows how many Birds at a stroke)
we don’t know the entire story yet but it might be proved to be the Indian version of “Curious case of Benjamin Button”. who knows !

Sorry for not responding sooner about Paa. I was very busy with school yesterday. But I now can say that after seeing the promos and pictures for Paa that this film seems topnotch in every way. The film looks very inspirational and sweet. Paa looks like a labor of love. Congrats to you, Abhi, Vidya, Balki, Paresh, and AB Corp. I’m hoping the sky is the limit for this film and it is a success. Also have to comment that the website and promotions have been kicked off in a cool way. Good luck!!

PAA seems to be very interesting movie. And very special thank to you and your whole unit for giving voice to people affected by this deadly disease of Progeria. What you are doing thru this medium is noble. If possible please provide link to Progeria research on your website http://www.progeriaresearch.org/ so that way wider audience can understand needs of this very special kids. I myself being parent of special need kid can empathize with what other parents go thru when their kid is suffering thru any form of ailment. After seeing promos only one thing I can say - Black brought out 30% of your potential and this film seems to be bringing out 50% of what you are capable of doing. Hopefully in coming years we will see more challenging roles from you.

I think you’re right in many ways. The Indian public, the large masses would not have as much knowledge of such diseases however even if they did they would not let that hamper their attraction to watch this film.
Many have suggested a likeness to Benjamin Button and that remains to be seen.

And we your EF will support you against them whichever side the wind blows? The media have shown interest in an unusual manner because the product that they pursue is also unusual. The pursuit will help them immensely in their economics of circulation. Of course, they are needed to spread the word which makes good marketing sense but dedicating today’s blog to them is not symmetrical with my thinking here. But this is your blog and if your mind is not aligned with mine then I have little say in the matter.I do not have anything personally against the media empire as I am linked to one through my spouse, but I have been taking a stand against the press media in particular here because of all known reasons that we discuss on this forum.I hope the mutual admiration lasts for longer than we can hope for and it would pain me if they turn tides even sooner than we expect ( they do not come with a guarantee ).

I can’t say I am your biggest fan (as many are there to snatch that claim from me next second :), but I still feel like one. There was a time when your success & failure seemed very personal to me, I really felt sad when things were tough for you and your movies were not doing well.. and every win of yours made me smile & happy.
Today, after so many years, I still adore you, but now it’s not just because of your acting talent or your stardom, but I have found many other reasons for admiring you. It’s not easy to handle success and you have shown us how it’s done repeated times, your commitment & respect to you parents reflects in the values you have inherited from them and that makes you real star… I still listen Shri Harivansh Rai ji’s poems recited by you and get strength from them… I still feel hypnotized by your speech and your values… and It’s not my fault… you are that good!!!
But, I have to say that even after so many years, I still find your old movies best. There is something missing even in your recent big movies. They are like perfect ingredients without a perfect recipe. Today it’s difficult for me to see you playing a simple & common man. I wish to see you in more powerful roles and balanced movies… something which touches our heart & soul, something like Balraj Sahani “Kabuliwala” in current context.. Something which makes us smile with tears in our eyes, something which we can remember forever…!!!!

I am in a lousy mood. I have spent the night battling a cockroach ‘Shikari Shambu’ style - I tried the repellent to no avail, tried to swat it with my slipper, but it escaped and hid right under my daughter’s bed!! So I spent many hours of the night peering under her bed, like an undercover cop in covert surveillance. The cockroach is omnipotent, omnivorous, and survives in tough conditions - sort of like a media reporter.:)
The post didn’t make me feel any better either - sugarcoated, honey dripping, buttery, pro-media, obscenely high calorie, and so difficult to digest. There are two rules in the business world: 1. Whatever works.
2. Chameleons rule!
In my ideal world, people have their own set beliefs and values, not necessarily followed/accepted by others, but enough to earn their respect for sticking by them all their lives. For example, on a lighter note, I hate older women who enjoy toyboys or older men who crave arm candy! Those are just my views and I don’t expect a standing ovation from the world for it. My friends know that’s all the open-mindedness they can expect from me and leave me to it. I am predictable. I like it when others are too. This world of business is definitely not my scene.
Congratulations on yet another award, although when one of ur biggest movies is awaiting release, it doesn’t make sense to give u a lifetime achievement award. Too many bigger achievements in the offing, they better be ready with many more statuettes, prize checks, and certificates for u! Amitabh Bachchan has just been introduced as the ‘child sensation of the year’ - so ur career has just begun! And WHAT a beginning - I love it!
Oh no! I spy a pair of moving antennae - is it a cockroach or a media reporter?! What’s the difference? I think I need to sleep - I am hallucinating.

That said, all we have seen is the promo. It is a great promo — but these people making grand conclusions are simply kissing your derriere. Are they insane? How do they know how great your performance is based on a 1 minute promo? They sound bloody crazy.
You should keep these people at arms length and take everything they say w/ a grain of salt. To surround one’s self w/ nothing but buttock-kissers doesn’t give one a good sense of reality — and it is because of these people that you sometimes select questionable material. Everything you do, they say is “amazing”….w/ these type of people in one’s inner circle, it is hard to tell which way is up.

Then i explained her the makeup process in brief and she finally agreed. Think I will coax her to come to the theatres to see the movie with me.

Waiting for PAA.
i saw ALADIN last saturday with my 6 year old son and wife. we liked it. Its a very good movie. Dont understand why the reviews were so bad? Nothing in the movie which was bad. Very well made movie. I have seen worst movies with 3 or 4 star ratings. Something wrong with critics. Maybe producers of the movie couldn’t promote the movie to critics. i believe that rating the movie should happen only Mondays and not on fridays, saturdays..So much of effort and hard work goes without people noticing it just because some newspapers give it a bad rating. Let the audience decide first. Reviews before Mondays should be banned. I dont know how to reach the director of the movie …but would like to CONGRATULATE him for making ALADIN. If possible pls send my message to him.

Hope you have read the book, When Bad things Happen to good people. i know a little about Progeria. but what is auro’s height in Paa? i wasnt gettting the perspective. is he like Appu of Appu raja or a towering 13 year old? i could not make it. balki must be a tender hearted yet stubborn man like MK Gandhi. or else it is impossible to make a cerebral cinema in the commercial filmland of India. Takeshi Kitano, the celebrated japanese film maker/actor says actors are like animals and should be treated likewise. he claims he never lets any actor think and feels hurt when any actor suggests any change. do you agree with him? are you a thinking actor? The legendary Sivaji ganeshan said he never was a thinking actor and relegiously followed whatever the director said. I know you have great regards for Dr.Sivaji…what is your take on this issue?

Road to Sangam got P7 Audience Choice Award at 11th Mumbai Film Festival
At the closing ceremony of the 11th edition of the Mumbai Film Festival, Road To Sangam got P7 Audience choice Award, presented by Mr. Jyoti Narain to Amit Rai writer and director of the movie. The movie got a prize worth Rs. 10, 00, 000. “P7 Audience Choice Awards” was introduced for the first time this year; to give the audience a taste of their choice, audience got to vote for their favourite movie. After more than two lakhs voting across three festival venues- Fun Cinema (Andheri), Metro Big Cinema (Church gate), Big Cinema (Ghatkopar) and online voting by viewers. The audiences were given a chance to put forth their preferences.

This is the first time I am writing a comment on this blog, but I feel that I have known you for ever, though we have never interacted for more than 2 min, most of which you would not remember but, I was a part of RGV’s, Nishabd, Sarkar, AAG & Sarkar Raj.
I have been a BIG fan of yours since I can date back my memory, every time I see your movies I think what better can an actor perform “This is the Best Ever”. You seem to defy logic and come up with even Better, Outstanding Performance in your next movie/s.
In “Sholey” we thought this was great, DON was amazing, Zanjeer - Deewar - Coolie, Namak Hallal, Yaarana, Kaala Patthar, Kaalia, all Classic (pardon me if they are not in the order of year of release, because they all feel so fresh). Shahensha, Mard, Khuda Gawha, then came Agneepath, we thought what could be better.
A new milestone was set when you hit Indian Television KBC, you actually made Indian TV suddenly look the next BIG thing (which you still are continuing to do with BIG Boss).
Then “Black” who thought this was ever possible. Now “Paa” ….. SIR I salute you for all the amazing treat that you have give me when I was a KID, a Young Boy, Now a Young Father. The amazing thing is My father, Me & My 8 year Daughter are all a BIG Fan of your work.

I love u sir but today I am too disappointed and unhappy with you. You are being part of Big Boss and I believe with whichever brand your name is associated it should match with ur ethics. When i saw BiG Boss today I was shocked to see pravesh rana.The show had promised that a common man wil enter but again u have taken a celibrity. I was too called for auditions and believe you me he was in my GD group. We both entered the second round after which I could not move forward. My point is that during the whole exercise I coule feel that it is fixed. he was given preferntial treatment and all their could feel that it is fixed. Infact my no was 245 and his was 317 (last no) in delhi auditions and he joined us despite his turn. Moreover the judges (2 young girls who didnt look like judges) were hovering around him befoe the rounds and he even was taken into seperate room before everything. Though he was good in proceudure but then he is trained actor.
I believe a common man should have entered this prog as was communicated by you. All is fixed. You have disappointed me Sir.

Paa promo..how i can i put in words what i feel.i lost my father 5 months ago.He was paralytic,showed signs of Alzheimer’s ,he was always angry,adamant ,acted like a kid and made my moms life a living hell.Now i dont know cant stop tears well up,wish i could spend a few more hours with my Paa..he was just 53
