The text messages pour in for reactions to press and media. Cynical and provocative text come in describing the ridiculous utterances of the system and those that run it. And actions to placate themselves of dire circumstances, prevail among ruling governance. Ha !!
But the hurt and anger persists. I will refrain and not submit to their requests.
I was to be in Hong Kong at the invitation of ex President Bill Clinton to partake in his Clinton Global Initiative and speak on a topic that would elevate the conditions of our universe.
I cancelled. I am NOT going to leave my country in this troubled hour to travel to a foreign land to lend cause to a foreign initiative, patronized and guided by a foreigner, for his benefit !! I need to see initiative here in my country.
I have also cancelled my participation in LIVE EARTH, the Al Gore initiative which I was to participate in on the 6th and 7th of December. I am NOT going to sing and dance at a time when my country and city bleeds, even though the funds collected were going to be for charity. They can keep their initiative to themselves !!
I have watched TV today and read the press and mingled with citizens. Never ever have I observed the extent of extreme anger in each and every individual of this country towards those that sit in the seat of authority and system and power. This is a determined and definite citizen. A citizen that has decided that everyone of them needs to become his own vigilante. For his sake and for the sake of his country.
I endorse that sentiment.

Sir,
Our country is going through troubled times and each and every one of us needs to stand up and take a stand that we are not going to take things lying down.We need to do sometimes so that each terrible tragedy does not occur again.

I have never watched so much TV as I have watched since 26th night continously. Yes-we are all angry!!! Its good that we can share our feelings with you….I am thrilled with the stand taken by our “heros” families-they are not allowing the politicians to politicize the sacrifice-kudos to them!!
I salute to the heros and their families!!!!

Mr. Bachchan,
With you having access to Bigadda and thousands of people visiting this page, can we not create a forum where we will provide our inputs and suggestions which can be put forth before our Government so avoid and handle such situations in future. No doubt that our bureaucrats are intelligent lot but certainly our inputs will give a new direction to the areas which they may not be able to think about.
As I write this, I am not sure if you are reading all these comments but for the sake of our nation and people of India, please take the lead. Its needed.
I am yet to see what difference the TOI campaign of Lead India has made so far, let us do something concrete than putting some large hoardings and boasting about leadership !

Mr Bachchan, I have long been your fan and many call me obessessed with you and I do admire your attitude towards these atrocities.
However this time I must kindly disagree with you.
These massacares are done to destabilise a country, a community and a person. We musn’t let them succeed and must try and carry on our lives as normal as possible.
I agree with regards to what you said about the ’spirit of Mumbai’ being a farce. A similar farce happened right here in London post 7/7. People right, left and centre were saying ‘We are not scared’ but I like every Londoner WAS scared and it clearly showed. When I got onto a bus or a tube people moved away, that is not the attitude of a person who isn’t scared.
What I am trying to say is I would hope you reconsider doing Live Earth as it will bring people together somewhat after this tragedy. The country will still bleed, yes, but you will have done something that will stop the blood somewhat. Plus all the money raised for charity can only do good for someone.
I hope you do read my post from amongst the hundreds and do contemplate what I am saying.
With lots of love and respect.
Forever your fan.

You said that “I have also cancelled my participation in LIVE EARTH….”
I strongly disagree with this step. I firmly believe that you should continue that for:
1. Since this is for a noble cause that you believe in
2. Take this opportunity to pass the message of peace to the world…Somehow you have to pass the feelings of a normal Indian…how much we are suffering due to this partiality of world leaders…
It seems easy for me to sit here and tell you..But if possible…

Hello Sir,
I see that you are watching the TV channels, reading the newspapers/websites and are probably getting the SMS’s floating around. You are mingling & interacting with the citizens. There is a lot of anger and rage in the public against the system and politicians for not being able to protect the common man and you have expressed the same sentiment through your blog. I hope that you will lend your voice and support the anger that a common man experiences today, and the support will not be restricted to just writing on your blog, but by laying wreaths on Gateway of India, condoling the dead soldiers families and joining some of the various spontaneous protests that are happening all over this country. I will really appreciate if you can get bollywood to join this movement and cajole the govt to provide more security to Indians.
Thanks

Mr. B,
I respect your decision for canceling your participation in a charity event, it is a tough decision. As India bleeds I was disgusted by Mr. Narendra Modi’s visit to Mumbai to take political advantage of this grave situation, he was shamelessly praising Officer Hemant Karkare who he and his party were criticizing a few days ago. I am ashamed for him. Disgusted at Mr. Modi and the Mr. Patil for saying “बड़े शहरों में ऐसा होते है.”

I agree with your actions and wishes not to comment. You should not abandon your country during this dire hour. I cannot imagine you dancing and singing any time soon. I had been under the impression that “Live Earth” was cancelled. Have they rescheduled it for charity? If I lived in India, I would be just as upset with those in power and not trust my life to any of them. I read that there had been warnings at those hotels. The security systems leave a lot to be desired. Just because they weren’t polite enough to enter through the front door, this is what happens?! I hope that you and your fellow citizens can soon get the leadership that you deserve and can trust.

Your words, the previous blog and this one, shows tremendous anger at the system, reflects exactly what I feel.. The corruption that is foremost in the minds of politicians, another one calling this incident as minor (I hate to say this, but I wish one of his family was caught in this), citizens forgetting all that had happened 10 days back and improperly trained police irrespective of the frequency of such occurences. Individuals taking up security on their own hands is such a dangerous phenomena, but is one that everyone will start considering soon.
Having lived in US for the past 10 years, and having seen the sequence of events as respond to the emergency - mourn sincerely to the dead - strategize - gather - respond aggressively wherever the perpetrators are, I feel a sincere failure in everything back home. If there’s one aspect I can be happy about is the difference between the 93 attacks and the present one. The media, inspite of their shortcomings, have given ample publicity, have given an outlet for people to vent their emotions on the public servants. Change is what is needed, people should demand what they want, what they want to see, how they should be protected, insist on the restoration of their basic rights. People like you wield tremendous influence within your domain, and I m very heartened to see that raw anger, the sense of which, if taken up by the millions reading your blog, could turn up more heat on the wretched politicians ruling our country.

Dear Mr. Bachchan
I read in The Times Of India how they presented your blog portions and found it very cheap on their part for the way they have presented it.
How can any civilised person can ever take such things such a stupid dramatic manner.
I am sorry.May be I am not able to express myself in right manner. But this is absolutely ridiculous.
I was watching a programme of Barkha dutt in ‘We the people’ and there was poem shown which was written by Prasoon Joshi ‘Bas ab aur nahin’.It represented that now people don’t want sympathy .They are angry, burning from inside and they have all the right to do so.
I think we should definately create a forum as mentioned by Mr. Gaurav so that it can keep alive the anger and not let anybody forget and forgive such brutality.

It is clear that this horrible incident has its effect in two different ways…as much as it created chaos and destruction, it also created a new spirit among the Indian people.

At this hurtful moment in our city’s history, I request you and others who have a similar mass appeal, to use the media to spread the message of togetherness and one-manship in our city and country. The most tragic outfall of these events would be a polarization of our beautiful, multi-ethnic and multi-religious social fabric. I respect you a lot but by cancelling Bill Clinton and Al Gore’s initiatives I think anger/emotions are clouding your decisions. Its not the initiatives of Clintons or Gores which has brought the current catastrophic events in India - its India’s own politicians. And Bill Clinton - he helped raised India’s profile in West. Al Gore - Live Earth - its a very good intention to raise concerns against global warming. Frankly speaking, this time its your wrong decision. You must participate in this. You not going doesn’t reflect good on India.. It would be an Indian Actor of Amitabh’s stature has at last moment cancelled .. Please Sir, do take part in it.

Hello Bachchan Saab,
Like every other citizen of this country, I am also very appalled by the happenings in Mumbai. I salute the brave soldiers who saved all the invaluable lives. I pray for the peace of all the departed souls.
However before we gear up to fight the threat from across the border, we must sort out the problems existing in our country. Just a couple of months ago there was a scathing debate of locals vs outsiders in Mumbai, patronized by a certain ‘political party’ claiming Mumbai to be their property. They beat up innocent Indians. However when external forces attacked Mumbai, they never came to its rescue. I am sure even they are equally happy with efforts of the NSG, which comprises of soldiers from every state. The brave soldiers risked their lives and finally rescued the great city.
Where were the self proclaimed owners of Mumbai when the city was buring?
My whole point is to communicate that we need to be united first. Only then we can counter external threat.

Amitji,
Already submitted this comment 2 days back. But I wrote this for my blog as well and written a little more. Submitting again for unknown reason. May be wish to share again for you.
“Hurt…pain…anger! Crippling all day long in my mind and soul! Was in office but somehow glued to various news sources through internet. Was in complete discomfort. Want to ignore all news sources giving myself logic that whom of mine is stuck in Bombay…why I am in so much discomfort? But i guess logic was as flawed as the terrorist creating havoc in hotels and street of Bombay with their reason! Yes…indeed painful moment for all countryman, as, if you can’t feel what happening there…u have no right to be call this soil as yours.
The worst moment was not when people killed but when politician giving statement with no guilt. Their face expression, body language and every gesture clearly shows that they have not even a single moment of pain in last 36 hours in which more then 100 innocent people died. Shameless people. Always hackneyed in approach! Very painful feeling.
Find some moment of comfort in Amitabh bachchan words (on his blog) that at least person of his magnitude is putting views which is very generalize in nature and speaks minds of every fellow Indian. I hope somebody in high rank take notice of it and one day we can see some action. Though my hopes are as minuscule as atom.
This country has unfortunately developed a characteristic that no matter what happen…we will not wake up from our sleep! A sleep of khubhkaran magnitude. People talking about Spirit of Bombay. What a shit. Which spirit? Ask Family of persons who died with so many of thing yet left to be done by them. Yes..aam aadmi will be again seeing on road, traveling and doing all routine task; and media will paint - “Everything normal. Spirit of Bombay is back”. No! Sorry. Its not spirit but our compulsion. We belong to middle class can’t afford to sit at home, when our old tired hospitalized parents looking towards us and so is our little children wish to have bread in mouth to keep burning stomach at bay. No! This is not our spirit to be back to normal but our compulsion. People in west get indefinite leaves on account of Stress which happen to them occasionally even when somebody in their office dies whom they never even ever spoke to but we…the third world country people even came back to office after 3 days of our parents passing. Yes. We too have stress but we are forced to live and behave normal. I guess Punishment to born in developing country. So, no! Its not our spirit! We don’t enjoy to be normal. We are forced to be normal.
With all pain and sorrow….I wish the soul of all dead remain in peace. And one day…I guess someday this country will wake up.”

Dear Amit Ji
Like any other countryman I am also sad about this incident but I am not broken.
I am more determined now to do something against it. I will certainly try to serve my country rather than just talking and doing nothing.
I have few suggestions to my countryman if they are agree to me-
Be alert and do not just leave this to our army, police and NSG. They are the final authority to take control of this situation but as a citizen if we see something wrong, we should inform the authority and also if collectively we can do something to stop them we should do it.
We should not just leave this and we should never forget this incident and also we should react to those countries, communities responsible for this. I am not asking to kill them but we can always retaliate not talking to them, not endorsing their product, not entertaining them. In true meaning (Asahyog Aandolan). In this way we are not hurting anyone but also make them realize that we are hurt and if all other communities are part of India, they should do something to stop these mad people. They should come forward to manage this situation.
As far as Government is concerned some tough measured should be taken. Resignation of Patil is not going to help but if they can hang AFZAL GURU today itself and all other terrorist who is involved in the terrorist attack, it will certainly give a strong signal to those who are involved or planning to do similar in future.
Also, this time lot of International community is affected and Government should take advantage of this and they should go after immediately after LeT or AlQaida…whoever is. Hunt them and kill them.
If you are too modest you are cowered. I believe that so lets not be cowered and lets fight against these evils.
I have a request from you Mr Bachhan, not to cancel your tour. AlGore and Clinton’s have big say not only in the United States but also in other parts of the world. Visiting for them will not only help them but it will also help us as you can talk to them on this matter and it will certainly help so please attend your tour not for you, not for them but for our country.
Finally my condolences to all those who affected by this but please do not bend into this situation and be brave to fight against terrorism. We have been attacked since last so many centuries but like any other hindi cinema, in the end Hero/truth will win and we will.
Remember- Hum honge kamyaab
Best wishes

Dearest super superman
Last 2-3 days have been hardest for me to sit in my office even for a minute because somewhere inside me i was feeling that i was doing nothing for my country, for mankind. I might have been giving benefit to my country through my work in terms of economy but not in terms of what was required for last 2-3 days..immediately. I am talking about the security of the innocent people..security of human..security of my nation.
Needless to say, its high time, we can’t give this nation in the hands of politicians who waste their time in playing blame games..setting up an investigation committee..calculating their money..and too much concerned about their z-security and about a red light bulb on the roof of their vehicle. NO, NOT ANYMORE.
There has to be an individual, very strict entity with no touch of politics. Which will include well educated, intelligent, concerned and passionate people.
Time is running out. The coward militants might have started planning another disaster, might have planned rather.
And look on those politicians who are not even missing out of making Mumbai’s attack a political point for the VOTE !! ONCE AGAIN ?
I do not want to play a role of a critic here and don’t even want to write as much as i can against those politicians because we have seen too much to wake up !!
This is unfolded in front of all that politicians have failed completely and still not have a shame of blaming opposite parties instead of unite the country on this critical time.
Its a STOP TALKING..START DOING situation for all.
Every individual has to give their best in order to make our land secure and peaceful, in anyway.
Since yesterday i have been thinking a lot about all the possible way where i can invest myself and still have not reached up to a satisfying conclusion yet.
I saw on television , one black cat commando officer speaking to media, he told about a hotel staff member at the Taj who was guiding them from one room to the other in order to save the guests as he was aware about where those innocent people were staying. Now this is called duty and an example to be shown to all who are not doing what are supposed to.
Home minister has resigned, Finally !! it should have been long ago anyway. We need more.
I salute to that staff member and to all who did not care about their own life and fought against the cowards.
Let us all ” LET US DO SOMETHING WHICH DEFINES THE TIME, NOT THE TIME WHICH DEFINES THE ACT ”
As you cancelled your programs for the intiatives taken by the foreigner,it should be noticed by the manipulating media that how much concerned you are for our country
Let us take an Intiative !!
NEED YOUR HELP !!
In the hope for land of peace and love, with all.

Don’t know whether decision of your not taking part in Clinton or Al Gore invitation if very welcoming or not. Though I can sense the reason that country burned and so is your heart and soul but still programme of above dignitaries too meant for charity. May be your present can help them to collect more. Still respect your decision.
Another thing Amitji. Why you are feeling that interacting with media is not welcoming at this stage. You are so vocal about it on your blog but ignoring them with fear that they are doing it for TRP only. May be they are but on bigger picture, it will take your voice on bigger level. It can impact more. I know your blog too is a big podium with 1000’s pouring in daily but I am sure its mass reach cann’t be as big as Times now or CNN or any Hindi New channel (Though I hate personally the Hindi one as they left with no manners and sense to broadcast news in ethical manner. In TRP race, they have left all mannerism behind). Also, your audience class is limited i.e. educated internet savvy one’s only. But general media will take you to everyone’s mind and I am sure it will earn more voices. This is just my thoughts. Apollogies I suggested beyond dignity of avg reader/commenter.

Dear Mr. Bachchan,
I fully endorse your views and your stand. It is now time to act. In whichever way we can. Enough of candle lighting and forwarding text.
I have decided to prepare a worshop module for school children to make them aware and learn the basics of security measures that they all must know from now on.. It will be somewhat like the first aid workshops we used to attend while in school. It will teach them how to be good observants when in crowd or what they should raise alarm when they become suspicious. What they should do in case they face a disaster. I will take the help of ex army men/ police officers in preparing the courseware so that methodology followed during the training is scientific and time tested. I will rope in my acquaintences in defence and police to conduct the training. Initially the pilot project will be conducted and depending upon the response, feeback and the retention power of the children, the content will be suitably fine tuned.
Through your blog, I request all the participants to do similar kind of activities. Let us exchange ideas. No big scale. Just start. No formation of NGO s. Just do it on your own with a few like minded people around you.It will surely have a snow ball effect in the entire nation.
I will keep you posted about my experiece from time to time.

Kudos to you for withdrawing from CGI and Live Earth events ! I am glad to see that many more citizens of this great country are now standing up for their rights. I just hope that this first stays burning in our bellies and not gets put out with the daily grind of our individual lives. We need to keep this flame alive and make sure that the politicians understand it loud and clear that we are not going to take it anymore. ENOUGH is ENOUGH!
As a humble gesture to all our security forces men and women, I would suggest that TAJ and OBEROI should issue them FREE LIFE PASSES to their stay in Taj and Oberoi. That is the least they can do for those who saved these hotels from complete destruction.

i write this, not knowing whether u will read it, but i had to write, as i have to let things out of mind and i find a place in ur blog to let it out. u have considerable contacts in the media. can u plz let Ms. Barkha Dutt know that she is no angel. she asks a person whose brother is trapped inside Taj ‘aapko kaisa lag raha hain’. for god sake, not from an experienced journalist like her. she was asking people to light candles and all that bullshit. i think these people are interested in enhancing their TRPs. please take a look at the cases which the media publicised and then no news about them. nithari killings, arushi murder case, lots of them. i know she has acheived more things in life than me and i am incapable to comment on her. but i had to say this. i am also ashamed that till now i havent cast my vote, i am 31 years old. but tell me, what choice do i have. i am asked to pick something from a garbage bin. all parties are the same. why should i got to a garbage bin in the first place. yes, i am guilty of not joining the politics myself and help clean the system. i admit my fault.
i visit ur blog daily without fail, and have commented once. this is my second comment on ur blog. i thought there is no other place where i can express my feelings. u are surrounded by people who are actively in politics. please convey to them that this is the mood with most of the people in india. i feel helpless and dont know how to contribute. i regret not joining the armed forces and instead choosing a relatively easy life. i think if the decision makers of india were half as patriot as the brave commandos are, we would have not faced this. finally, i quote a news headline that i read in some newspaper website ‘toothless politicians have made a tough nation into a soft state.’ kudos to the police and armed forces and many others who risked their lives to save others. i am proud to be born in the land where such people and their families live.

Dear Amitji, Any endorsement and that through entertainment needs a frame of mind. We have a situation where everyone has felt a great loss of confidence in the infrastructure which is supposed to protect us. The attack on Mumbai the financial capital was very morally ethically so devastating that we feel insecure in our own homes.
The damages have been enourmous in terms of life and property. It has taken two tolls already in my opinion. We lost the Home Minister who resigned owning moral responsibility and his place is taken by the present Finance Minister thereby implying loss of Finance minister also technically.
On every milestone on a road earlier we used to see two numbers. The distance leftover and also the total distance. Once Rajiv Gandhi our former Prime Minister remarked that out of 100Rs/- provided for poor 15/-Rs reaches them. As per today’s standards we don’t know what that figure or ratio is. We need to prove Rajivji wrong and ensure full amount is effectively delivered where it is supposed to.
People have questioned 2 bullet proof jackets for BMC firemen? Do our Leaders or planners need to be told that what is expected when a terror strikes like in present case. Do we remove the jacket from the slain man for the next. Sorry for a bad example but here we need forward thinking by planners.
Gurugovind Singhji Maharaj was once asked which is the best weapon. Guru Maharaj replied; whatever comes handy to save Life is the best weapon. Jo waqt pe kaam aajaye wo sarvottam shastra he.
With this example of Gurugovindji I must say the Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus announcer was having the best weapon. His presence of mind when he saw unusual running of injured and bleeding. The gentleman announced on the public address system asking all alighting passengers to remain seated in trains or go from a different gate. He saved those 5000people’s lives which could have been maimed. He defeated the naferious designs of the terrorists on that fateful wednesday night of mayhem. Shall I honour him with words that you were true follower of Chatrapati.
What we already have put it to best use. Presence of mind, communication, media, and our intelligence. Create a shield create that suraksha-chakra which colgate advertises for healthy teeth. Make our agencies and their teeth so healthy that terrorists dare not attempt any misadventure.
We don’t have to sleep with individual guns when our borders are secure.Mistakes made should not be written off but capitalised in to improvements. No nonsense administrators like many exemplory people should be encouraged by new Leadership. A principle centred Leadership to ensure our super-power status. How Deming transformed Japan in manufacturing and quality. It has to be an obsession National level. Deming always said Knowledge reduces cost. I would say wisdom minimises consequential cost. Change the systems of tendering if need be and work out full longterm benefits and just not lowest bidding. Take Delhi Metro success story and impliment it in security apparatus. Bullets will be repelled by systems where guns cannot come out forget the trigger.
We need a seemless Nation and thoughts of collective good of all. If everyone decides to vote for uncompromised National character soon we will have unprecedented growth story.

Mr. Bachchan,
Anguish! Anger! Pain!.. this is what i am experiencing along with all my fellow countrymen! My personal loss is a couple returnng from a birthday party with their child, both mercilessly gunned down! yes, the child is alive to live his life and grow up without the unconditional love of his parents!
Personal feelings aside and just empathizing with the 183 and more who lost lives…Sir, you are a darling of the crowds the film industry is most cherished by all Indians… yes, you do not want to take an initiative led by a foreigner, but you and me and all of us fellow indians can! yes, we can! let the pen be mightier than the sword! you can initiate a public petition, put it on the blog and all of us will support! why you? because you have class appeal, mass appeal you are the a household name all over the country .. and i will not be wrong in saying the world too!
Let all coastal India have a vigilant coast gaurd! all of peninsular India
Keep a strict vigil on the spendings of the public servants..All unwanted extra spendings, fanfare needs to be cut! All that money needs to be channelized to pump up the paycheques of our real hereos, our navy, our army, our coast guards, intelligence, and our brave NSG..
We cannot have any ties with Pakistan unless and until the Kashmir issue has been resolved completely.. otherwise it is just hypocritical!
All regional or national political parties MUST be secular in nature, if it is not secular then it cannot be!
Where are the self procclaimmed sons of Maharahtra when Mumbai is troubled? sipping tea and making small talk in front of the t.v in their heavily secured homes? ha! these are no sons of Tilak.. power mongers them all!
Sir, chalye, haath deejye sir, ek behtar aur shantipriya samaj, aur desh jo Mahatma ne hamesha har hindustani ke liye socha tha.. haath milate hai aur us sapne ko haqeeqat me badalte hai!

i should first be saying thanks for you to cancle all your foreign tours, its a real pain to see whats happening in our country, people are disturbed and scared but at the same time they are ready to fight now and also ready to face everything, it was a real terror the only thing what happened this time is it happened to the higher class of people and thats why the fear is being seen……..
the 9/11 also was a very big terror but the fact is that after that nothing has taken place there, they are so alert and protecting their country , why cant we indians learn all this from them, why cant we creat a terror in the minds of these terrorists that they dont have further guts for anything……. so many incidents, the russains also never had another big terror againnn……. pls india learn the new things and techniques why are we so much lacking of all those new things, the commandos directly said that they had ammunation with latest technology, our cricketers get ready for a game with heavy practices, somany comapany to sponsor for them why arnt our army men always prepared ???????? ufffffffff, too many things to get straightened….

Sir,
India is big nation and people hold varied perspective. We are not politically learned population and present politicians are taking advantage of situation and oppourtunistic, unskilled people are becoming leader. Learned people are working hard to run corporates and their home for better future of their kids. Education with enlightenement is the solution. We people in mumbai will stand and gain some action from authorities but what about the whole nation. Terrorism is unavoidable and has to be faced with bravery with minimum losses defeating the motives of terrorist. This is a fight which will continue and we should not fear depend on our politicians and beauracrats. I fully endorse your keeping revolver under pillow and emotions attached with it. Regards

I am in US and it has been 3 days now I am still numb. As a student at JJ hospital these were the places we visited freely to have a cofee or spend time with our friends. These were the places where we were planningto take our 2 children. After the train blasts we were hoping that the system must have started putting some effort in advancement of technology and sophistication of the ATS.
Somebody rightly said “Indians need Z security and not these corrupt politicians”. My heart is numb and I am constantly in front of TV waiting to find out who were involved. I believe it is our right to know who did this to us and information should not be withheld from us.

Dear Amit Ji,
Good Evening…
Truly thank you for taking your precious time out for sharing your feelings. Yes sir, anything coming out of person of your stature will defenitely make a difference in this world.
Sir, I was watching a show today on NDTV where Ms. Simi Gareval was participant. Ms. Garewal has raised issue about flag of our neighbor on some homes in mumbai slum. The issue turned aggresive in the show and received some strong opposition by fellow participant. But Amit Ji and all fellow bloggers I truly want to understand what will make a person/family raise the flag of other country on their home instead of the country they are living in.
May be this is the question we are supressing? Why are they not feeling home, what is truly making them feel like they don’t belong? May these people that we are talking about are only a small percentage but still need to looked into, not with hatred but with love/gandhigri. We can counter this terrorsm if are together and every one feels Indian.
Sir, if you feel what I have pointed out here makes any sense. I kindly request you to truly look into and let’s start a unity front and start create bonding. Let’s not let fanatics take over and brain wash our precious youth.
Sir, we are very well aware that no politician nor the system is going fix anything for us. So why wait lets start and do something that will take our country ahead.
Why wait for a corrupt leader to lead us rather we lead and as long as our mission is noble they have no other option but to folow us.
One India.
Jai Hind.

Dear Amitabhji,
To be honest being a great fan of your resilient character I was bit disappointed to read your blog on day 220.True a cyclist in UK not crossing the red light at 2 am shows how discipline can make things easy for everybody in day to day life but CHARACTER is what Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan did when he asked his men to stay back away from the firing line of the terrorists and himself took the RESPONSIBILTY of confronting them.Yes we will confront till our last breath a known enemy as we have done in the wars we have fought with our aggressors but terrorism is a faceless enemy. We need to be resilient not cynical to thwart the designs of this faceless enemy. Our leaders may fail us but our culture in which we think of our country as our Mother will continue to inspire many more Sandeep Unnkrishnans and that will be enough to assure us that in adversity our India will be always in safe hands.

Dear Amitji:
Everyone is deeply saddened and heart broken at this point. We all crave for peace. Although I condemn the people who are doing these acts but sometimes I am forced to wonder why they are doing this. Have we been unjust to Kashmiris - I have never even been to Kashmir but are the people there suffering because of Indian army and administration. Maybe 60 some years of loosing their sons and children has driven them to this - I just hope and pray that the Indian govt has not betrayed them and us. I want to believe that my govt. has done the right thing - but I am not sure anymore. So much hatred - there are things that we don’t know. The answer is too complex at this point. Same goes for Jews and Americans - have they wronged the people of Palestine, Afghanistan and so on.
Sorry for playing the devil’s advocate but I am forced to think that the answers are getting twisted by each of these attacks on innocent people. We need to push the government to do the right thing - no matter what!

Dear Mr. Bachchan,
Your decision to not participate in Live Earth and CGI is your choice .I thought this could have been your shining hour. I am sure the organizers can come up with a more significant program then song and dance items in view of the tragedy in Mumbai.Would have been a great gesture to bring our communities together in one shared vision .
Terrorism is a global concern and India cannot fight it alone.
I have some unfinished thoughts on the movie A Wednesday .Please bear with me as I feel compelled to write this in view of the repeated “call to arms” by all and sundry. In the movie Naseer calls himself ‘a common stupid man’ forced to take the law into his own hands to cleanse his ‘home’ of the ‘cockroaches’ ( terrorists).
My advice to the “common stupid man” is : Please don’t be stupid.Run and hide from those who will not think twice before making you a pawn in their own fight for power and control ;be it corrupt politicians or fanatical religious leaders or self-serving conglomerates and governments.Run and hide from those who think of you only as ‘collateral damage ‘ in their quest for ultimate power. There is no glory in dying and killing .Ask those who have served in the armed forces .Ask their families.
Now ,I am going to watch a nice bollywood movie.I seem to like the ‘ fake ‘ India better.
Love.

Sir,
It gives me a feeling of great pride when a human being, an actor whom we have been patronizing since our childood for the sheer performances in the films and at times beacause of the incidents of being charitable to the needy.
This gesture of yours and the decision for having scrapped your tours to two occasions is just nothing but shows a person you are deep inside. It is just we could never have a glimpse of your this personal nature so forthcoming and it is only this blog of yours which reveals the personal attributes, attitude, thinking in real life, your outlook in general towards one and all be it the street people or the nation.
I really respect the feelings, emotions, sensitivity of yours that you hold like many of emotional, caring lot.
It is 11 pm and the Kishore Kumar song goes on air
“Jaane kya sochkar nahin guzra ….” it is just great and surely the voice that shall never die also reminds of your goodslelf as it matches the most. Quite touching the lyrics and more so the depthness of voice l as the song has been rendered by Kishore Da .. … especially Sir, at this hour of time when we think of those who have lost their lives and those who have laid down their lives for our’s tomorrow.
Sir, whatever I have been able to lay my eyes on, the feelings, thoughts shared from your end, gives me a kick in life for being a much better human being we could in our life. Need not care about the insensitive responses to your views, thoughts, actions, feelings … etc as one, first of all, needs to lift the veil, needs to understand the humane side of yours and it is nothing less to think on the lines that you hold your thoughts to many common things, aspects in general and routine life like you feel disturbed at the vastness of the downtrodden, the sufferings of theirs, the needy … be it those whom you watched while you were coming out of the hotel after having been to marriage reception in the hotel few days back and you mentioned that those licing outside the hotel would retire to sleep while discussing the marriage celebrations. Its your inner feeling towards such normal sights in daily life … but speaks volumes of your personal viewpoint, your concern … how sensitive, emotional a human being you are ….
Another touching number on FM …
Alvida, Alvida meri raahen alvida, meri saansen kehti hain alvida… song from the film s Metro, perhaps, at this time, when its dark outside and the darkest hours in the lives of many berieved families … it does makes eyes Only a sensitive, emotional person would feel so as it happened with you while remembering Lata Mangeskar’s song ‘Aye Mere watan ke logon …’
For it cannot happen to the rocks but to
Respecting your feelings, we salute your thoughts, as a human being … A GREAT One in this part of the world , indeed.
With deepest respects
Saurabh/Delhi

Hi Mr. Bacchan,
It so gud to know that you have cancled your trip to Hong Kong and the Algore summit n decided to stay back home. At this time of grief n suffering this is the least we can do for our country. But you know what , it would be great idea to do something in this time that is worthwhile. How about mobilising people. They have great anger n resentment filled in their heart n mind, this is the right time to channel it in the right direction.
Otherwise people will again forget the heroes who sacrified their lives , the sufferings caused by all n Taj will again be rebuilt.
Atmost what will happen kuch movies ban jayegi .. like ‘Mumbai meri Jaan’ n ‘ A Wednesday’. Log theatre mein jayegnge.. aur movie khatam hone ke baad bolenge ki yaar aachi movi thi Naseerudin ke kya acting ki thi.. n thts it..
I salute not only Mr. Hemant Karkare but also his wife who denied the 1 crore tht Narendra Modi was giving her. I salute Father of UnniKrishnan who didi not allowed the chief Minister of Kerala to enter his house.
These people don’t even miss once chance to draw the mileage out of any situation.
Well i wud request the intelligence department and the defence department to see whether management grads can provide their services in their departments.
Regards.
