    Dearest and Respected Amitji,

How are you and your health? We prayed for your recovery. Take utmost care of your health at this juncture.

Actually I had come to Mumbai to meet you in the regards of ABCL-ADAG collaboration about new innovative and creative ideas and “Unforgettable” live Indo version. But I could not succeed to meet you on Sat. 15th Nov. 08, as you have started working after long rest, We are really feeling very nice that again we can see you on screen soon,

Let me tell you honestly since my childhood I am observing your posture and I must say that YOUR LOOK, YOUR WALK, YOUR TALK, YOUR THOUGHTS, YOUR SMILE AND HUGE LAUGH (in lots of movies – for ex. Agneepath, Namak Halal, Sharabi…) and Specially I like your running style – wow that’s unparalleled in the world. When you are running we feel like you have wear spring action shoes.
I remember when you were fighting with villains I use to punch chair in cinema hall. (ha..ha..ha..ha..) It was so funny but I enjoyed doing that.

ok coming to the point now :-
I would like to show two fantastic, fabulous very innovative and creative presentations which will make the wonders on earth.

IT’s regarding I.P.L. 20-20 and “Unforgettable” live indo version.

My urge to you that give me a scope to show these presentation to you, it will not take much of your time and I am confident that you will definitely like it, it is truly very very amazing.

Dear Amitji, The Fiat and Ambassadors of 1970’s and before were two cars which were common. Now if anyone drives in them is considered to be not even common man but uncommon buff or poor taxi-walla. God knows how he can save money from driving this vehicle with present petrol prices.
My first car in 1979 was a second hand Ambassador bought at a price of 20000/- from a friend in instalments of 2000/-per month. It was lying idle for months in dust and a heap of dry leaves. Even the colour was not visible. Only condition it will start in first turn of the key. The monster did and was mine.
Next was the petrol tyre and misc. expenses to run it. Every vehicle and woman in your life brings luck. This one got everything and a host of friends especially after fixing a tape-recorder with an amplifier and the dickey was the bass. My lessons in music, acoustics, partying, bachelor friends from my new Alma Mater a part-time management evening college started.
Now I knew what was the sad benefit of having a single parent a father. I lost my mother in 1978jan when I was an eligible bachelor of 25.
This vehicle has become part of many of those SIMBI pass outs of 79/80/81 sorry part of their autobiography which you should ask them only because I was driving like that Delhi taxi-walla. Yes a famous joke of those days-A Delhi taxi walla was produced in a court for ferrying 16passengers in his taxi. He politely asked the judge for pardon and said my taxi is parked in your premises and 16people can sit and show. I am ready for any punishment. He was acquitted smilingly by the judge.
My score was little less. Apart from secret driving lessons this vehicle was the only which measured our city roads when the milkman and news-paper whole-sellers were on job. Never my loving father opened the door with a vessel for milk.
Amitji you have posted this in those unearthly hours hope your milkman is not one to respond first. As the gates of your blog open there are 100 people claiming first prize on this daily Derby with lots of photo-finishes and short-neck winnings. You are a good starters-order man and hopefully they don’t hire your services. All the horses will be first.
Jokes apart talking of unearthly hours we once played our music in an abandoned grave-yard and my god an animal ran through the bushes and our Rang De…experience we ran for life fearing a real Booth.
Hope everyone posts a good memory of their first car and invariably it will be a Fiat or Ambassador.
    Regards and happy dhakka start.

    WHEN GRANDMA GOES TO COURT

“”Lawyers should never ask a Mississippi grandma a question if they aren’t prepared for the answer.
In a trial, a Southern small-town prosecuting attorney called his first witness, a grandmotherly, elderly woman to the stand. He approached her and asked, ‘Mrs. Jones, do you know me?’ She responded, ‘Why, yes, I do know you, Mr. Williams. I’ve known you since you were a boy, and frankly, you’ve been a big disappointment to me. You lie, you cheat on your wife, and you manipulate people and talk about them behind their backs. You think you’re a big shot when you haven’t the brains to realize you’ll never amount to anything more than a two-bit paper pusher. Yes, I know you.’

The lawyer was stunned. Not knowing what else to do, he pointed across the room and asked, ‘Mrs. Jones, do you know the defense attorney?’

She again replied, ‘Why yes, I do. I’ve known Mr. Bradley since he was a
youngster, too. He’s lazy, bigoted, and he has a drinking problem. He can’t build a normal relationship with anyone, and his law practice is one of the worst in the entire state. Not to mention he cheated on his wife with three different women. One of them was your wife. Yes, I know him.’

    The defense attorney nearly died.

The judge asked both counselors to approach the bench and, in a very quiet voice, said,
‘If either of you idiots asks her if she knows me, I’ll send you both to the electric chair.’” “”"” CHEERS!! and more. :-)

You are very practical with us on blog ………………..and we LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
    AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH…….AAGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHHH
Just in continuation to Ajay & on neighbours Dharamji.
    1. It was a coincidence. You mentioned about Ajay after a long time and I just finished watching couple of days back KHAKEE on TV and was trying to picture the pains of many due to criminal acts similar to the ones as seen in the movie. Surely there exists many like you too to rectify and uphold the right tasks & duties. Price to be paid is quite heavy though.
    2. On neighbours, family, friends. I was rembering the UNITY DOSE by Dhoni by his very down to earth and friendly visits to other cricketers home, family and celebrate , be together attitude. These simple yet GREAT qualities of Dhoni are not really learned at MANAGEMENT/IIM’s. These are learned at family level and specially comes from RICH CULTURED VILLAGES & INDIAN family ways of living . Surely many in METROS also try to follow, but they are like the RAVES. I am all for the DHONIS ways. Are you too? Lets educate our children, others children (if we get a chance),and keep promoting ways/means/ideas/social & family tips to STOP the RAVE way. I know you are indeed a good friend & companion to your children, we can see the best today. Hope more follow the similar style-Reid & T. -Dashing.

    So much for now.

    Taxi Ride
So I walked to the door and knocked. ‘Just a minute’, answered a frail, elderly voice. I could hear something being dragged across the floor.
After a long pause, the door opened. A small woman in her 90’s stood before me. She was wearing a print dress and a pillbox hat with a veil pinned on it, like somebody out of a 1940s movie.
By her side was a small nylon suitcase. The apartment looked as if no one had lived in it for years. All the furniture was covered with sheets.
There were no clocks on the walls, no knickknacks or utensils on the counters. In the corner was a cardboard box filled with photos and glassware.
‘Would you carry my bag out to the car?’ she said. I took the suitcase to the cab, then returned to assist the woman.
She took my arm and we walked slowly toward the curb.
She kept thanking me for my kindness. ‘It’s nothing’, I told her. ‘I just try to treat my passengers the way I would want my mother treated’.
‘Oh, you’re such a good boy’, she said. When we got in the cab, she gave me an address, and then asked, ‘Could you drive through downtown?’
‘It’s not the shortest way,’ I answered quickly.
‘Oh, I don’t mind,’ she said. ‘I’m in no hurry. I’m on my way to a hospice’.
I looked in the rear-view mirror. Her eyes were glistening. ‘I don’t have any family left,’ she continued. ‘The doctor says I don’t have very long.’ I quietly reached over and shut off the meter.
‘What route would you like me to take?’ I asked.
For the next two hours, we drove through the city. She showed me the building where she had once worked as an elevator operator.
We drove through the neighborhood where she and her husband had lived when they were newlyweds. She had me pull up in front of a furniture warehouse that had once been a ballroom where she had gone dancing as a girl.
Sometimes she’d ask me to slow in front of a particular building or corner and would sit staring into the darkness, saying nothing.
As the first hint of sun was creasing the horizon, she suddenly said, ‘I’m tired. Let’s go now’
We drove in silence to the address she had given me. It was a low building, like a small convalescent home, with a driveway that passed under a portico.
Two orderlies came out to the cab as soon as we pulled up. They were solicitous and intent, watching her every move. They must have been expecting her.
I opened the trunk and took the small suitcase to the door. The woman was already seated in a wheelchair.
‘How much do I owe you?’ she asked, reaching into her purse.
    ‘Nothing,’ I said
‘You have to make a living,’ she answered.
‘There are other passengers,’ I responded.
Almost without thinking, I bent and gave her a hug. She held onto me tightly.
‘You gave an old woman a little moment of joy,’ she said.
    ‘Thank you.’
I squeezed her hand, and then walked into the dim morning light. Behind me, a door shut. It was the sound of the closing of a life.
I didn’t pick up any more passengers that shift. I drove aimlessly lost in thought. For the rest of that day, I could hardly talk. What if that woman had gotten an angry driver, or one who was impatient to end his shift?
What if I had refused to take the run, or had honked once, then driven away?
On a quick review, I don’t think that I have done anything more important in my life.
We’re conditioned to think that our lives revolve around great moments.
But great moments often catch us unaware-beautifully wrapped in what others may consider a small one.

PEOPLE MAY NOT REMEMBER EXACTLY WHAT YOU DID, OR WHAT YOU SAID, ~BUT~ THEY WILL ALWAYS
REMEMBER HOW YOU MADE THEM FEEL.
You might help make the world a little kinder and more compassionate by sending it on.
    Thank you, my friends…
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance!

  83. RAVI P MALHOTRA says:

Dear Amitji, Our best of the management solutions nowadays come from Indian Railways. The junior staff like TT’s also are able to analyse market situation and provide solutions. One of my friends narrated a small story which will summarise the meltdown and market situation in a very much Bunty and Babli style.
Before the yatra&arzoo etc dotcoms of ticket booking there used to be a chart. The TT had his job to check and depending on season a bunch of last minute entrants would be chasing him. First he would say no-room and then as the night became darker one would find all the berth chasers accomodated. And in the morning same people who were running here and there behind one man would meet you at the brushing and combing centre and disclose the bargain in case you enquired.
Now the real story in a different way. Banti Babli and one more thug were trying their luck and could not get any bakraa for long time. It was little late in the morning and babli saw one owl hanging upside down from a tree.
An idea came to Babli and the three dicussed quickly and got going. First Bunty went to the town market asking some shopkeepers if an owl was available. Noone had one and all regretted. During tea and lunch some shopkeepers discussed about this new demand and went their way.
In the afternoon Babli came and enquired the same way. One shopkeeper who had the habit of trading in anything the customer wanted came forward and asked Babli what was it that she would pay. Babli said 100Rs/ the shopkeeper kept quite. However Babli sensing his interest gave 20/Rs advance incase an owl was available. The shopkeeper promised if possible and kept 20/- Babli promised to come and check late evening for delivery otherwise would take back 20/-Rs.Deal was stuck and the shopkeeper knew till evening he could use 20/- and return it in the evening regretting no owl is available.
In the evening the third friend turns up with the owl. This shopkeeper who has taken 20/- is approached and decides to buy the owl for 50/-Rs after much haggling hoping to make a big profit.
Bunti Babli and their friend vanish with 50-20=30Rs/ and the shopkeeper sits with non moving Owl till night.
Moral of the story:Stick to your own business and stay away from rumours.
This was narrated by a TTE.

Amitabh Bachchan maybe the King of Bollywood. But Salman Khan is the Queen & needs to allow Shah Rukh to be the successor. After all, he is 43+ & Katrina Kaif likes him. Just needs a little more convincing to do.. Anjaam was violent , but Madhuri brought SRK to his current level..

Looking forward to “Rab Ne Banayi” Jodi & “Kites”.. I may be almost in a coma for 3 hours under anasthesia for the dental procedures. Just need to mail in the check.. Happy Thanksgiving (a festival in the US where the Turkeys are slaughtered mercilessly)..
