Dear Amit Ji,
I read your blog now and then, just for the language you use. The british english..and does have an old world charm..reminds me of my grandpa..for the command over the language, choice of words..Charming.
Also, just a comment, i guess sometimes you sound too negative on your blog, which is ok..coz it is liek an online personal diary. Nevertheless, it kind of generates to much negativity around. At my age i cannot advice you, so a sicnere request, I as a reader would love to read something more on the lines of your blog posts on the kind of work you are involved with, and people associated with you in terms of the work done with them in the past –which is quiet interesting esp for those belonging to the current generation. Can say a history book of how cinema has evolved over the years.
On an entirely different note,Saw bawarchi the other day, and more than Rajesh Khanna i enjoyed the performance of Jaya Ji. Such talent , such simplicity. Anotehr role/character i can never forget is..Koshish..How remarkable were both Sanjeev Kumar and Jaya Ji..Pity these days we do not get to see such films often (not denying the fact that even today, few select individuals are trying to make different and good cinema)..Yet the elegance, panache and power of films of yesteryear i find is lacking. Hope Jaya Ji gives anotehr Koshish, Mili or Parichay!..Btw..Incase you are given a chance to make Mili or Abhiman, who would you like to cast in the films and why?

I guess you know Roman Abramovich very well cause if i am not mistaken Abhi and Ash were also in the owner’s suite to watch a game after their wedding. Atleast that was reported (Not sure if anything which is reported is correct or not) Anyways hope you take lot of rest and take care of your health. God knows why Scolari didn’t start up with Ballck on the left and Chelsea despite the fabulous midfield [best in Europe] desperately need someone more threatening than Anelka up front. I just watched after ages “When we were Kings”, the Muhammed Ali dvd.
If i remember rightly Prakash Mehra was gonna maker a pix with both of you, that would have been awesome. Just another thought on this rainy evening, what if Bruce Lee had lived!We would have seen the greatest stars (you and him)together on screeen , would have been mind blowing. I know i am letting my mind run away with me, but then i love the movies. Hope you have caught the Dark Knight, must see it, i saw it yesterday for the third time. Cinema was made for such blockbusters.

The readers would wish to know, why are they so prejudiced against you & ur family. Is it because of ur relationship with Amar singh or is it because HT(Birlas) are congress sympathisers? I do want to make a point here that on Internet explorer there is a menu item called view which has a submenu item text size, people can change it to the largest while reading blogs here. I remember someone ahd rightly pointed to the size problem. Not everyone is aware that some size adjustments can always be made from the browsers. So please make use of it!

Why don’t you act in a Hollywood movie? I’m sure if you wish you would get many good roles and what I like about Hollywood is that they make films with so many mature characters as leading heroes unlike in Hindi films where after a certain age there’s a dearth of good roles…………….
I had liked “Black” immensely also “Baghbaan” & “SarkarRaj” but those types of movies are very rare & we miss watching serious meaningful movies.
Looking forward to watching “The Last Lear”

Have been reading your blog for quite some time and really feel happy to see your popularity soar to new heights in your global tour and your personal commitment to stay connected with your innumerable fans. As I am sure you would be aware, the state of Bihar has been in the throes of an unprecedented flood due to the breaching of the Kosi Barrage in Nepal. This was a barrage built in 1956 and with a lifespan of 30 years has fallen into disrepair since 1986 and has currently a breach reportedly 3 km wide out of which there is a relentless outpouring of massive amounts of flood water into large areas of north Bihar. With the administration scrambling for response, nearly 12 million people have been affected. Although abundant material on this massive human tragedy is available on the web, I have tried to put up a small note on biplove.wordpress.com for your information. The reason I write to you now is to request you to issue an appeal to your fans and lend your weight to the noble cause of rescue and relief operations in Bihar as has been your wont previously on public causes such as polio et al. Bihar needs all the help from everywhere and if through your tour and beyond on your return to India can join in the campaign to save Bihar it would be an invaluable help indeed. hope you had a great time at the match i was lucky to bump into Ash and Abhishek at Chelsea during the last football season. Nice to see you captured some memories in photo’s and hope you didnt get to wet, but the atmosphere of football being played in the rain is just something different. May the rest of your stay in london be most enjoyable and have a great time in paris.
Your tour was great at the 02 and worth every minute and every penny, amazing work by the whole team. Please dont make it a last and come back very soon. Your stage presence was unforgettable would love to see you again and again. The touch of your old time classics on stage blew me away.
